Do we even have a big two...??? If so the big two as of now maybe Harden and Lin... Howard missed 11 shots tonight right at the goal and it's hard to depend on him late in games. His inability to hit free throws makes him not want the ball. But Harden and Lin could get destroyed in the backcourt together on the defensive end. Strong possibility Lin may not be here for the long term and is just building up his trade value.

It won't matter. This team isn't going anywhere, with or without Lin.

Too early to say. This is only Lin's 2nd full season getting regular minutes, and he's still only 25.

That said, there is potential for him to get better. I have no idea what his ceiling is, but if he continues to improve I think he can make a credible run for a top 10 PG spot.

I took harden out of that category due to inconsistent play

If Lin can get rid of his turnover woes and tighten up his handle (big if), he can be a top 5 pg.

If not, he won't break the top ten.

No way is Lin staying here playing 6th man off the bench. He wants to be a starting PG for an NBA team, not just PG on paper watching the Shooting Guard play PG and dominate the ball.

I heard he's been talking to his agent, he is obviously dissatisfied with how he's been treated here and is just making the best of it for now.

I also heard the same thing, but he's TO's are the problem. Unless he fix that, it's good for him to stay under the radar for now.

I think it was obvious the plan was that Lin was not on our long term plan, now this...
MacHale cant make Lin and Harden work together, either move the coach asap, or trade Lin while his stock is high.

His TO problem is no worse than many other players who dominate the ball with high usage. Jrue Holiday is a TO machine and he's a starting PG for an NBA team.

Look at who the league leaders in TOs are.

    Harden
    Durant
    Westbrook
    Rose
    Curry
    Holiday

How many people call these guys TO machines and criticize their every TO?

Lin without Harden on the floor proves he deserves to be an all-star. Tonight's game plus last year's Spurs game show he can dominate

Guys, let's just enjoy Lin's hot shooting while it lasts instead of fantasizing him into something he's not and raising expectations too high.

Enjoy the ride. It will get bumpy for Lin. I promise.

TS%: True Shooting Percentage - what a player's shooting percentage would be if we accounted for free throws and 3-pointers. True Shooting Percentage = Total points / [(FGA + (0.44 x FTA)]

Potentially yes, but who cares if we're not winning.

If the Rockets can find a coach that could mesh Lin and Harden together, that would be lethal with Howard down low as the defensive anchor

I'd try a new coach first. But if it's predetermined that Asik and Lin have to leave - I would do it sooner than later. Give him back to the Knicks for JR and Felton.
