I voted perimeter defense. In our two losses, the other team just always seems to be "on fire" and shooting high above their averages. That's no coincidence. I wish I could have voted for more options. Hustle is the worst, but that kind of goes hand in hand with defense. TT is awful too.
The biggest problem is head coach, cannot make star player go for defense, only Harden iso in offense, every game HOU got out-coached by the opponent.
IN my opinion is al the above but i voted for overall defense. First the line up is not working agaisnt all the teams. I think we should only use the towers together when we need to. like agaisnt spurs or Memphis We are starting games really slow and without motivation. they play catch up. I think we should put the line ups from last yer well i mean with Dmo or terrence with Howard and then Asik with Dmo or Terrence. Agaisnt Dallas i remember DMo playing well last year on some games. but still it wont hurt to look at another line up. ANd we should use Greg too just to see if he can work or to give asik and howard more rest when they get in foul trouble not just when they already have 4 fouls. another part is that guys from last year are making the same Rookie or dumb mistakes. We are turning the ball over way too often, silly turnovers. Just like Parsons' travelings, or fake 3s and drive ins which makes the big get 3 second calls, or just horrible passes. Or like last night stupid inbound passes on critical times. Harden's iso and holding the ball till he has 8 seconds instead of moving the ball, and his awful defense or none existence on the first quarters. he does better in the last quarter but its kinda late by then. Another thing is that guys aren't shooting threes well. We haven't shot well in the season. we did on some of the preseason but we are so cold now. And i also see guys not even shooting threes when they are open like Garcia or Casspi or Chandler
how is this a debate. Every game we get behind early by a ton. Twin Towers is a train wreck. -15.4 +/- per 100 possessions for twin towers.
If teams want to play run n gun with us, we should be blowing them out the water but so far they're all running as well as us. Hardens isos are killing us. It makes the entire team stagnant. Also, having our only point guard taken out of the starting lineup and being told to play sg and Bevs scorer off the bench. Are you kidding me? Is it not clearer need a pg?? Twin towers. All 3 have contributed and I believe will continue to hinder us, even if we did start playing well for a stretch. We are supremely talented but utilized poorly. It's a coaching thing.
Funny ain't it? If Harden stops the iso', apparently all is well then! Rockets are in great shape! LOL
