In my opinion, this decision favors Lin but not Rockets. I guess we have to wait and see.

Agree with Lin and Harden. The problem is now that we are trying to put square pegs in round holes with Lin and Asik. Far better to switch them for players that fit better.

There is no number supporting that. Everyone is just saying Mchale says he uses Bev because of defense so Bev's defense must be great.

QUOTE=conquistador#11;8385947]it's nothing against bev, but he makes the same mistakes our other guards make. And you can't play a full court press in the nba for an extended period of time, which mchale is thinking bev can do. bev's best defense comes in spurts.[/QUOTE]

Agreed, Laker's top scorer is Nash at the moment. (Bev is supposed to shut him down?). Also there is no fluidity in the offense. Rockets down 4-12 Bev should bring energy off the bench and be the glue and play annoying D to agitate their PGs. Playing him at the start of the game doesn't necessary disrupt anything. Opposing PG is fresh, and can easily counter Bevs supposed defense energy.

Bev was blown by Walker at least 3 times in that limited 10 minutes play. My point is that every one gets blown by Opposing PG. It is just how the game is. You can never lock down a PG. What you can do is to coordinate with whoever is protecting the paint.

Saying Lins defense is bad because he is "blown by" is ridiculous.

He's also getting blown by Nash. People bought into the hype.

sadly coach bought into a series where the okc backup avgd 6 more points than he did in that series. It just so happened garcia and delfino were unstoppable from three point land and we won. oh well.

Glad we got bev back in the starting line up. Now its time to get asik coming off the bench as well.

You guys are all crazy. Lin played really well to begin this season as the started. Bev is alright but Lin needs more minutes to make use of Lin's team defense and scoring.

Howard+Asik just doesn't work. Everytime they start the game - we lose 1q badly

The commentators are correct in that the Lakers don't have to do much to guard Asik and Howard.

    its not Howard+Asik.

its bev's inability to run the system.

I didn't like how McHale played with his starting line up in preseason, and I don't like the starting line up he got.

If they're still starting the Twin Towers, then Lin needs to start on the bench and only get on the court when either Howard or Asik is off the court. The lane is so clogged up that Harden himself has trouble getting in to the paint. Lin will just be wasted on the court having no lane to drive to.

Why does every time bev throws ball to Howard he runs right by Howard which brings his man to him for easy double team ?

Harden Lin throw ball to Howard and get back , bev throw it to him run 2 feet by Howard to bring his man there, any way we should win this game just something coaching staff should have been noticed

That's actually what the player should do if you didn't noticed.
