i can, he's a very good shooter and he was taking wide open shots. we looked the the rockets of last year.
First time back in LA and he's struggling immensely coincidence? That's the downside of having a young superstar.
My point exactly. That's what I meant when I said I couldn't believe it. He shouldn't be that open. Harden was also guarding him.
This was the absolute worse game he's had for the ROX and tonight's game shows how much improvement he has left to make defensively and decision making-wise. The good news is that he's still young and I'm sure he'll learn from today's game. However, he needs to rekindle that motivation he had in the offseason to "guard the other team's best player" mentality.
Harden's D was contagious. Everyone was like, "I'm not playing hard if Harden's gonna act like a lazy bum - unless I'm a bench player."
McHale needs to do a better job at hiding our weaknesses. Everyone knows Harden is our worst defensive player in our starting lineup. So he has him guard J.J. Redick, who's a Rip Hamilton type of player who runs all over the court and can catch/shoot? Terrible strategy. I would've put Harden on Dudley and Parsons on Reddick. In the future we could also start Beverley
Worst game I've seen from him. He deserved the benching in the 4th. He needs to do a better job at avoiding screens. They ran off the ball screens for Reddick and Harden ran into every single one. It wasn't even just the defense. He never drove to the basket at all. Nothing good from Harden tonight.
Whether his bad offense was due to lingering injuries or just an off night doesnt matter. I wouldn't have cared if he went 0/25 if he'd at least tried to make up for it on defense. But he stops giving a damn defensively if his shot isn't falling, and it's a terrible habit to have. He quickly loses focus and gets caught ball-watching too much while his man freely runs across the court to a wide open shot.
I think it is a good lesson for Harden. We should be thankful reddick teach him a lesson in just regular season!
