As the bye week has progressed...one thing is for certain....at 2-5, the Texans arent out of it quite yet. A stunning and season changing performance at Reliant vs Indy can just propel this team back into the race... And yes...this team has to go 7-2 in order to make the playoffs. We play Indy twice. And we play NE, Denver. And who knows, the football gods have a funny way of balancing out bad fortune. Most contending teams have significant injuries. And everyone including Indy, knows that they have a cake walk of a schedule left. Sometimes, just sometimes a team gets confident too early (ie. Houston last year). Im expecting some poor play by Indy in the second half of the season. It all starts at Reliant next Sunday. Go Texans.
And the only hope of that happening is by starting Keenum and hoping he plays even better than he did against the Chiefs. He wasn't perfect. He made mistakes, but he was respectable enough to deserve another start.
It's not the "only" hope. Schaub, based on history, is capable of rattling off wins. The problem...that's what has happened in the past and we just aren't sure if he's completely fallen off or not. But this team needs a lot more than just improved QB play to go 7-2. This team is getting beat in every facet of the game.
Just keep losing until Weasel Bob has no choice but to fire any and all coaches and front office staffers.
"Texans QB Matt Schaub diagnosed with torn ankly ligaments that he"ll try to play through" - NFL Network
He's done. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Sources: <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Texans&src=hash">#Texans</a> QB Matt Schaub has torn ankle ligaments that he’ll be attempting to play through. He may not be “right” all season.</p>— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/statuses/394853346089005056">October 28, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Next we'll find out Arian really has a torn hamstring and Ben Tate really has 8 (bruised or broken) ribs.
He's a fighter John and he fight for this team. We'll do better at taking care of him out there. He's done great things for us.
Oh, it's on now. Now we get so see if we need to draft a QB this summer or if we already have one in Keenum. We also have a compelling reason to care about the rest of the games this season (assuming the colts don't fall apart leaving us an 'in' for the division).
Its ok, we have Ray Graham and Dennis Johnson! They practice REALLY good. <iframe style="display: none;" allowtransparency="true" id="rufous-sandbox" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

when the 2nd string RB makes a comment about a new starting QB...it only means one thing. The players in the locker room did give up on Schaub... And Kubiak and Matt were the last to know.
holy crap, that's uncanny. repped. Sounds like McNair's comments about Keenum after the Chiefs game carried some weight.
wow..i'd be surprised given that there is no depth at that position now. trading tate would be akin to raising the white flag...i don't think this group is gonna do that. i wouldn't mind being wrong though.
