I can't believe there is even an argument about this. I'm pretty sure, if there were no classless acts to speak of, the players WOULD be talking about how they suck. But since there were classless people... I had my own reaction watching on TV, and it certainly sounded like a good number of people were cheering the injury, ie. while he was still on the field holding his ankle/leg/whatever. Cheer when Yates comes onto the field, but wait till he comes onto the field. We won't even get into why people wanted Yates.
This is disgusting. This was the sentiment of those classless fans. And those of you saying its okay to be happy or not feel sorry about the injury because Schaub is a millionaire (has more money than you), are classless too. When you cheer for a team, you are also cheering on management to make the right decisions. We never hope that they are "forced to move in the right direction" because if ever a decision is taken out of management's hands, it means something bad happened, it means that we are no longer cheering for management but we are cheering for the bad event (ie. someone getting injured, someone losing a family member, etc). Some of you need to get some perspective and realize that this is just a game and the prospect of winning comes with the prospect of losing. Get a life and realize what is important. One day nobody is even going to care about this sport we call football. Its just a business for entertainment and here you are hoping that someone gets injured for it. You not only taint your own character with these opinions but you also impact the character of our city and our culture for the worse. Our city isn't supposed to be Boston or Philadelphia. I'm sorry you expected a championship type season this year and are having trouble coping with the fact that its not going to happen... that's sports. Your struggle to come to that realization doesn't allow you to be disrespectful to others regarding their health, even if they have more money than you.
Seems like he's primarily a fan of himself. Might be better off as a Cowboys fan since they could open those endzone doors to accommodate his ego.
That sounds logical. Teams who fire coaches mid-season usually go on to greatness. I see where you're coming from. I'm sure Wade would take them to the Bowl.
At what point? After last season? After 2-0? 2-2? 2-3? If in the midseason, how quickly could/would they line up a replacement? Or do you think Wade Philips should take over? I've never supported Kubiak and thought he should be fired years ago, but there's no reasonable time in the last 2 years that made sense to fire him. The first logical opportunity would be at 2-5 after a Chiefs loss, because you have a bye week to install a replacement and make changes for the new guy.
**** Aggies, oh, I'ma vote Republican for no reason other than I went to TAMU. I'm gonna wear this ring because I feel special.
What a gigantic mess. I've never seen a fan base and its players turn on each other like this. I will say that it has been incredibly frustrating watching Kubiak and Mcnair's almost non-reaction after every loss. Beyond that, booing an injured player is just wrong. Don't do it. As for the players comments...right or wrong...they have their own damn agenda to worry about. The last group I want to hear criticism from is the players and coaches.
WTF...why are the fans getting this much hate?. .This team is horrible..The BROWNS look better than us right now.Their taking the attention off of the ass whooping they just got from a bad team.
If the coach loses his team, and you don't replace the coach, you get exactly what you deserve. More importantly, why wait? If Kubiak is going to get fired, why not fire him now and select a temporary head coach? How could it possibly be worse?
Because the fans are ugly, they call into the radio stations spewing the dumbest crap, they burn jerseys like idiots, they piss and moan wanting the 3rd stringer freaking QB to play, they fight people in the parking lot, they think James Casey needs to throw the ball, they think Owen Daniels' name is "Oewn Daniel", they want VY, they're just... gross people, bro. Nobody likes them.
It's not about fans booing the team. It's about fans cheering an injury to a player. That should never happen...in any sport. When it does, people are going to find issue with it and talk about it. Top story on espn.com now.
The Texans organization DOESN'T care what the fans think (obvious), so why would the fans care what they think? Also, as said.. I don't think the fans were cheering the injury. They were cheering that they get to see snaps with someone else at QB
Who says he lost the team? Maybe its just as simple as the rest of the NFL caught up to his gimmicky offense. Maybe he's just not a good enough leader of men. Maybe he's not enough of a disciplinarian. Maybe its none of these things. Who knows? What we DO KNOW is the results HE'S RESPONSIBLE FOR are horrific. That much is not debateable. Which leads to the inevitable question...How could a replacement be worse?
They should cheer everytime Kubiak is shown on the big screen without that irrelevant play-call sheet
Raven did. Agreed. But when did you determine that to the point where he shouldn't get given a chance to try to fix it? At 2-0? 2-2? 2-3? Today?
