Tom Hanks hasn't been in anything worthwhile since 'Catch Me If You Can.' I think I'll wait for his portrayal of Walt Disney in the making of Marry Poppins flick 'Saving Mr. Banks.'

The rating on tomatometer is just as high as Gravity. I might be on limb here but I think Tom Hanks is a best actor of our generation. Sorry Daniel Day Lewis, I'm sorry.

Well, if it's entertaining enough doesn't bother me much.

No. The story happened. There is a question on why the ship sailed into pirate-infested waters. Some of the crew members are suing the shipping company saying Captain Phillips ignored their concerns about the area.

Tom Hanks was amazing, but the movie as a whole was just fine for me. Nothing overly special for me. Dragged way too much to keep me really interested at some points.

7.5/10 for me. Hanks gets a 10/10 and an inevitable Oscar nomination.

I doubt it could possibly be any more exaggerated than Argo was.
Not that it matters I enjoyed Argo.

Oh it's definitely better than Argo for me.

Argo is one of the more overrated movies in recent memory IMO.

My wife and I loved it. Very tense, and sad, too, in a way.

    Tom Hanks is back.

This movie gets an F from me.

    1. Paul Greengrass does not know how to hold a steady shot. Yeah, I understand he's looking for realism and tension but goodness gracious hold the shot!!!!

    2. There was a couple and a family of six who wouldn't stop talking throughout the movie, so I had to leave halfway through.

    3. That was the performance that everyone was raving about?? Really that Tom Hanks??
