Also, a lot of these dunks are usually done with one hand, but since he can't hold the ball in his one small hand he has to go with 2 hands
Yes, both the dunk where he started yelling and the dunk against the Pacers (by C.J. Watson) his legs got clipped when he was in the air. In those cases it may not be possible to hang on the rim since that would cause the player who is dunking to stop his elevation or lessen it. Really, it should have been a flagrant foul.
Apparently many of you have not dunked before. If you jump from too far out where you have to reach to dunk, you will need to hang on for a second so that you don't go flying. Sometimes, your momentum makes your hands slip off the rim, and you will land on your back. It has nothing to do with strength... his hands just slipped off the rim. It happens.
10 man rotation: Lin / Beverley Harden / Garcia Parsons / Cassipi Jones / DMo Dwight / Asik 11th man probably Smith. 12th man probably Brewer. Canaan, Covington off to DLeague. 15th guy between Brooks, William and Camby. As long as there's no trades before the roster needs to be finalized. The more important thing, though, is that McHale isn't likely to play a 10 man rotation. With the pace we play, 8 is probably not enough. So nine players will be getting most of the time. And with Dwight sliding to PF when Asik plays, and Parsons/Cassipi sliding in to play some stretch 4 ... ... the reality is probably only one of DMo / Jones is going to get playing time. That's going to be real tough. And an interesting battle. Perhaps more interesting than even the Lin/Beverley who starts battle. Because it could be all or nothing. Whereas we know both Lin/Beverley will get their minutes regardless or role.
Finally someone points this out. Check the second replay on the Ukraine dunk, it definitely looks like his left leg got swept. On the Pacers dunk again, it is very obvious when viewed from behind.
Man, if Garcia plays this season like he did against the Thunder, Cassipi plays this season like he did the first two pre-season games (not the high FG% because it is unsustainable, but just this style and still a good percentage), we're going to be two-deep at 4 positions. And if we get good growth from either/both Jones/DMo through court-time and experience (which is what they need more so than anything, because both have talent), we're going to be looking really good for this season. We get playmaking and defense from the PGs, best SG in the NBA and smart veteran at SG, two well-rounded and smart SFs that play very well off the ball, makes good decisions and loves to run, and best C in NBA backed up by top 5 defensive center. And we're young and improving at PF. I still can't believe we're ranked behind the freaking New York Knicks by David Aldridge.
I guess he was always like that, another example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqefGkgGiIw
I don't mind D MO trying to develop into a more aggressive player. If he can keep his shooting up and work on his b2basket game, He could really turn into our quality 4. I mean he still needs a TON of work on DEFENSE though.
