You guys are ridiculous with the Beasley trashing. Dude had a monster season in 10-11 and a solid season in 11-12, last season was bad but he is still talented and in the right situation ( especially not on the wolves or suns ) he might turn out to be a damn good player. Remember he's still just 24. In 10-11 on the T wolves he averaged 19 points 5.6 boards and .7 steals/blocks 45% - 36% from 3 in 32 mins, those are great stats. In the 11-12 season 11.5 points 4.4 boards on 44% - 37% from 3 in only 23 mins, still pretty solid stats. Last season was bad (he went to a new team, came of injury, the new team was the suns) but i'd still welcome the rockets giving him a chance. Actually i'd rather have Beasley over Brewer, Brooks, Casspi, Williams or Camby honestly.

In Michael Beasley's "monster season", his true shooting and eFG% were both substantially lower than Donatas Motiejunas's rookie year. Beasley also had a slightly lower rebounding %, and posted worse offensive and defensive ratings, and was a distraction off the court. So his absolute best is still not as good as the absolute worst that Motiejunas will likely give Houston. And getting back on topic, Sam Amico is about as useful as Alex Kennedy, Bill Ingram, Incarcerated Bob or MyLegionSports; he's based out of Cleveland and throws crap against the wall until it sticks; he doesn't have any real sources. Sam Amick is a writer formerly of the Sacramento Bee, now employed by USA Today, is a legitimate national NBA reporter. Rip Hamilton is done. The Bulls were the walking wounded at the end of the year, and Thibodeau still preferred running out Jimmy Butler and Marco Belinelli 40+ minutes per game rather than make Rip a part of the rotation. Even at his peak, he was never a spot-up shooter, but one who was much better coming off of curls, and having plays run for him. I'd much prefer betting on one of the young, unproven guys.

Completely agree. I can't believe there are Rockets fans who think our excellent management will or should bother with Richard Hamilton or Michael Beasley. Hamilton is done. Some poorly managed team will waste a roster spot on Michael Beasley. Houston is nor poorly managed, so it's not going to be them.
Go for it Morey. People here just remembered his last 2-3 seasons. I think he has rested well enough last season that he's going to be healthy this season. His defense and constantly moving offense will be a great help. Fact is he doesn't even need to have the ball to be effective.
I have only remembered the last 25 seasons of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Let's sign Kareem! He is even more well rested!
Another note. Beasley put up his monster number by shooting the 3rd most shots per 36 minutes in the whole league. The only guys who shot more than he did were Kobe and Carmelo. I wouldn't take Beasley, period. I'd rather have an open roster spot.
Where your standards for "monster season" must be pretty damn low. 15.5 PER, lol. That's worse than Luis Scola's career average.
