it may have been an over reaction, but if you look beyond the stats it doesn't look like he is making the big step this team needs at the 4. Perhaps Morey may place him on the trade block and hope a GM starts giving us some more future assets for a bigger trade down the road, because the flexibility a draft pick gives you compared to DMo if huge, especially if the team we're trading with is set at the 4 (just look at the Lowry/ Toronto situation)

im sorry but for what we need for this championship run, i dont see him as a regular fixture at the 4 at this point in time however, i hope im wrong. PLEASE DMo prove me wrong.

D-Mo with some 1st half action today.

Not a lot to take away that we didn't know already. That said, D-Mo is still god awful at closeouts. Patterson was pretty bad at it, but D-Mo is on a whole nother level of bad.
Obviously this is fixable, as are most of his defensive shortcomings, but the lack of progress is a little worrisome.
The same goes for his free throw shooting and defensive awareness. Very little improvement, if any at all.

At this point I honestly think it's more likely that he won't be in the rotation than him starting.

Donatas Motiejunas should have bulked up his core like Jonas Valanciunas. Who agrees?

There is a long long way for D-Mo to live in the NBA, Morey will trade him for the future pics

How did he do? Did DMo break out or did the opposition manage to keep him in Czech?

I would say DMo won't be the starter for the next 2 years on NT team. If you haven't noticed yet, Lithuania has the best frontcourt in the whole tournament and I mean it, the best! JV and L.Kleiza are the starters, with Javtokas being the main backup at the C position. Brother Lavrinovic's and D-Mo will have fight for their spot on the rotation as coaches uses to take 5 big men to tourney, not 6.

With that being said, I think DMo has a nice future ahead of him, but as of now his situation in NT is pretty much the same as in the Rockets club. Everyone knows he has talent, everyone values him, but then again, everyone thinks he is not ready to take that next big step and become consistent.

All in all, I do think that Lithuanian coach is better than most of the NBA coaches and can lead this team to finals/semi finals. So if D-mo plays 10 minutes a game and helps his team to achieve something great as that I would be pleased, because that's what most of the young guys needs and that's to win championships to build your confidence.

The scenario of having a good showing in EC while playing 10-15 minutes and mixing into the Rox rotation for 15-20 minutes on a contender team should make him a better player.

Last thing I want to say is that JV > Howard in 3 years.

This season and next, D-Mo won't be what the Rockets need at PF for a championship run. He won't prove you wrong. But that is no reason trade him now because he has 4 more years on a cheap contract.

Shooting 40% from 3 during this run. If he can do something even close to that over the course of a season, he will be fine.

Defense is going to take time, but that's ok. We have Howard and Asik to help makeup for his lapses. My guess is he is an average to slightly below average defender by mid 2014-2015 season.

36% pretty average, if he maintain that next nba season it would be huge improvement for him, his man to man defence is improved as well. Overall he looks slighty better than nba last year. Give him 2more years before u judge him fully.

I've often wondered if 3-point % in Euro-play are higher because the 3-point line is 3 feet closer to the rim. I'd expect that % to drop significantly once Euro players come to the US.

corner is pretty much same, while elsewhere you right about 2feet differnce. I guess it kinda makes sense, i saw someone post chart of dmo 3pts %, and he was hitting alot of corner 3's while missing a lot more 3's from other positions.

It's all in the calves, legs, and buttocks. When someone is backing you down in the post, or jostling for position on rebounds .... you need strength in your lower body, dig in your heels and stand your ground.
