Basically, Lin said he was struggling because he was paying too much attention to basketball, and lost sight of God. Therefore, you need to be super religious in order to be a good NBA player.
Therefore Lebron James is the most holy player in the NBA, who God picks to win almost every game.

    Losing faith =/= lost faith.

    Awful ESPN is awful.

well it's a good thing he tries not to care about media approval anymore.

he's gonna say what he wants to say as long as there's an audience and the message resonates with those that it was meant to be delivered to. i'm pretty certain that at this point, he doesn't really care how espn or other media take his quotes out of context to benefit themselves.

he didn't do the testimony to blame the coaches, to "clear the air" - he did it to bring the message of jesus christ to 20,000 people. i'm pretty certain that most of the audience got his point. and that's really all he cares about.

    Everyone's hearing voices.

Just this morning, I heard "The toilet needs to be changed. Be home at 3, OK?"

You know, Lin isn't ever gonna be a superstar, I doubt he ever makes an allstar game. He's just a pretty good point guard.

But when It comes to life and perspective and faith in God... The guy just gets it. He's hit the nail on the head with the statement about the emptiness of success and fame.

Not certain why this is a good or bad thing. If you mess up enough ppl will stop trusting you. Its not anti lin or anti coaches to say this. His play was inconsistent, what decent coach in their right mind would not lose faith in a guy playing that bad?

    Saving Houston basketball?

Jeremy Lin is overrating himself. He's not Chris Paul.

That being said, he should have more open lanes to the hoop his year. And he might be better this year than last.

Clearly in his head, he thought he was. I found it hilarious he thought he was brought to houston to be our franchise player.

At the end it is performance on the court that really counts.

Whatever he says can be twisted or taken out of context, it will always happen. End of the day, fans look at performance, not what the guy has to say in his personal life or whatever religion he believes in.

We could end all these threads if we trade him. The ball will go to Dwight then Harden and then most likely Parsons. i really doubt his numbers are going to go up. Plans have changed Lin is just another role player that we could use his spot and paycheck to get something better.
