WTF Amazon, says mine is shipping in Mid October? I ordered July 31st... Should I cancel and do google play?
Estimated Delivery: Monday, 08/12/2013 From UPS tracking site I got the Netflix promo code 2 days ago.
I'm confused about this thing. Is this just a device that has Netlflix and Hulu type stuff loaded like some DVD players have that you can stream to your TV or is this something that will stream to my TV what I'm playing on my computer, iPad, or iPhone? For example, can I watch ESPN on my iPad with the watch ESPN ap and stream that to my TV with Chromecast?

You can stream watch espn from a computer using Google Chrome. You basically steam on to the TV whatever you see on you computer chrome browser. Add for you phone etc, so had to support it.
Ordered one from BestBuy.com around 12:30pm and received my Netflix code at 2'ish. It seems BestBuy.com gets restocked every Thursday, and they're still giving Netflix codes. So if you're looking to buy it with the promo, check on Thursdays. No reason to pay a premium.
It goes by quick. First notice of new stock was around 12:17pm or so, and it lasted about an hour and a half.
Ordered two: one from Amazon and another direct from Google. Got my Amazon order delivered today, so don't believe the October shipping date. They'll get there much sooner. My Google Play order is still unshipped.
When did you order? My wife ordered on for me on like August 9th (birthday present...most of the reason I've waited for so long).
Submitted both orders on July 25. Seems ridiculous that Amazon would ship Google's hardware BEFORE Google does, but...

In stock at Bestbuy.com starting 10 min ago. Get it quick. Stock usually lasts between 30 min to an hour. Still comes with Netflix code.
Just ordered one. I don't really have a use fot it but, yeah. Maybe it'll work well with NBALP BB if the CSN deal doesn't come through. Update: Got the Netflix code exactly an hour and a half later. Took less than a minute to apply it to my account.
