In general I agree with you. But in the era where the arms have already been babied, I see no reason to stress his arm in any way at this point.

And for the record I have money on the game tonight, so I want a win more than most. But I understand

Not deserving of all-caps. ;) He had time to get under the ball, set his feet, judge the wall (short wall at that) and jump. Not all that amazing by MLB standards, announcer hyperbole aside.

maybe not. was watching on mlb net right when they cut to it.

still, has there ever been a player in the majors rob a homer and fall into the stands? not something i've seen before (yes, i saw austin wates catch last year in corpus).

I'd think so, lot's of short fences in parks. Thinking of Dodger Stadium in the NL, I must confess I am not familiar with these newfangled American League parks, but I'd guess RF in Fenway and somewhere (wanna say RF) in old Yankee Stadium. Or the closest softball field, whichever works.

The Twins are an NL club for the night.

    Sigh.

The White Sox lost again too. They're a loss juggernaut.

yeah, and it's almost time to focus exclusively on them. marlins are "pulling away".

i will say, losses are infinitely easier to take with #1 pick in the balance.

With Jose Veras gone, the team leader in saves is....

    Erik Bedard. He has 1.
