Everyone has been posting side-by-side comparisons of the Suns and Rockets schedules, but the real danger for the final playoff spot may come from Seattle. The Sonics have been playing better than Phoenix, Houston or Golden State, and are now just one game behind the Rockets and two behind the Suns in the loss column. Seattle's biggest obstacle will be its schedule, which is brutal through the end of the year: Apr 2 Wed at Minnesota 4 Fri L.A. Clippers 7:30 pm 6 Sun Utah 6:00 pm 8 Tue at Sacramento 7:00 pm 9 Wed Minnesota 7:00 pm 11 Fri at San Antonio 5:30 pm 12 Sat at Houston 5:30 pm 14 Mon at Dallas 5:30 pm 16 Wed Phoenix 7:00 pm At 36-37, if the Sonics can win their four home games, plus a win in Houston and one of the other tough road games, that's 42-40, which might be good enough for eighth place. And rembember, the Rockets don't own the tie-breaker against Seattle. We've all been watching Phoenix, but the real threat to the Rockets' playoff hopes may be the green-and-gold menace from the Great Northwest.
With that horrific schedule do you really think they will catch up to us? I think compared to that schedule rockets have alot better chance of making the playoffs and seattle not coming that close.
I think Houston has the easier schedule the rest of the way compared to PHX and SEA. The Rockets are going against the east best while the other two teams are going to go against the west best. I take the east anyday as there is more chance to win against the east's weaker frontlines.
