To say Howard told the Rockets to kick rock is more than a stretch. If it were Howard's call, he would be a Net today. He made that clear from the get go trying to force a trade to the Nets. Hennigan had none of that, he and his support took what they felt was the best for Orlando.

I seriously doubt Howard would use his back as an excuse to play less in Houston than he actually played in LA. It just doesn't make any sense to me. He didn't need more bad rep.

And Morey didn't go all out to get Howard because there was a chance Howard would walk after one year. Just look at what Morey offered to Orlando and what he gave up for Harden. Harden was not > Howard. He was willing to gave up heck of a lot more to OKC than he was offering to Orlando because Harden had agreed to an extension whereas Howard would be a one year lease with option to buy. OKC owns our two 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick. That's some excellent long term asset. If he had offered similar deal to Orlando, Howard would have been here last year, and it's only logical to think that Morey would have a plan in place to keep Howard in Houston even before making such trade.

I tink if you asked James if it all worked out for the best he'll say hell yes!He is a team with Howard, Parsons, Lin and Asik whom btw all are either yet or are reaching their respective primes.

But wasn't it Howard who demanded to be traded to L.A. Lakers instead of Houston? Otherwise Orlando would have taken the better deal, one would think.

I don't think a any of the picks the Rockets gave them were Rockets picks... I think all of them were from the various trades Morey made with other teams.

Feigen is right, except that it wasn't Harden or Howard or who said that. It was Morey and Les.

Les wants Lin to stay because Lin brings in $$$$$. As rockets fans, we should be happy about this and bite our own teeth, because in the end if Les is making money there is a larger chance he spents more on the team. But, make no mistake, if Les could make this same money off the Howard signing then Lin would be gone.

Morey wants Asik to stay because Asik is the ultimate NBA asset. He's a center, and he's coming off his best NBA season. His stock is high, he is now considered a top 5 nba center by "some" analysts and could solidify this Rockets team as having the best front court in the NBA.

Les wants Asik gone, but Morey wants Lin gone. So, its a clash of he titans. In the end, Les will win this war. We will get rid of Asik first, even though that will hurt our team more, but only because Les wants more $$$

How do you think you know what Les and Morey each want?

Seriously doubt Les wants Asik gone unless he's packaged for a bigger piece.

Having Howard and Asik for 48 minutes is easily the best defensive 1-2 punch on the interior

I know how business works. That's why.

I've been in business for many many years and I've seen how people work and what they think. I've also been a long time fan of the Rockets and I know hoe Les Alexander thinks. His actions (and often times inactions) speak louder than words.

Les is a business man, he doesn't really give a **** if this team wins or loses as long as he's making money. Carroll Dawson did give a **** about this team though, and he made sure to replace himself with someone else who would.

    All speculation then.
I do think that Les does care if the Rockets win or lose and I think he as always shown that since he has owned the team.

If he doesn't care about sport or basketball then he would have not purchased an NBA team, he would invest his money somewhere else. Anyway remember this, the extra money Lin can bring to the organization would be nothing if Lin cannot live up to his potential/ playing great.

    Bogus post is bogus.

    1) All evidence to the contrary on Les. Constantly chasing players and seeking out an innovative new way to win via statistical analysis.

    2) Carroll Dawson didn't pick Morey, Les did. CD was going to hand the reigns over to Dennis Lindsay.

He left after getting passed over by les to be the next gm. But yes, Morey was hired from the celtics, but it was not a cd decision to go after the new stat oriented gm, that was all les.

Lindsey is now with the j*zz

He always struck me as a thinner Daryl in terms of looks
Obviously Morey proved himself to be better.

Tell you the truth Les made a shrewd decision to bring in Morey. After a rocky start Morey has become without a doubt the best GM in the league. He made Presti (who most people had as the best) his personal toy.
