maybe everything ( scoring they are pretty even). He is better defender, rebounder, playmaker.
They dont need chandler at all, they already got their sf, they need better rotation players, center and maybe a sg. They are set at pg, sf and pf.
I like mathews, but im not so sure he is starting caliber, maybe a great sixth man. Good defender, and a decent scorer/shooter.

Scoring they are pretty even? Based on their last season Parsons definitely has the scoring edge (15.5 vs 14.3, 48.6% FG% vs 42.3%, 38.5% 3pt vs 37.2%). Although Batum did have better FT shooting (85% vs. 73%) and he gets to the line 1 more time a game. Rebounding is about even (Batum averages only .3 more but he plays 2 more minutes). Batum is the better defender and probably playmaker (although he turns it over more).

As with most of these 3-team hypothetical proposals, it's preposterous because one team clearly wouldn't do it. In this case the Kings would laugh at giving up Cousins for Asik. Jimmer, Smith and Lin can barely be considered assets in a trade.

So Sacramento would pay $30,000,000 for Lin and Asik in 2014-5 (unless one or the other is traded again to a team wanting to pay either player $15,000,000 for one year's work)?

    Survey says:

Why does the article say trading LMA for a collection of draft picks is not an option?

Do they mean trading LMA for JUST a collection of draft picks is not an option? Why can't we offer Portland Asik, some others, and a bunch of our draft picks?

Robin Lopez is a borderline scrub.

Because unless Portland's GM is a complete moron, he wants star-material players and legit developing players in return for Aldridge plus picks. Rockets can make that offer but the Blazers won't take it. If the Rockets were a likely lottery team, had an unprotected 2014 pick and added Parsons to the mix, that might be within striking distance. Just a thought.

Blazers won't give Aldridge up for Asik + smoke and mirrors. They'll keep him for the 2013-14 season if a serious offer isn't made.

rarely are stars traded. Even more rare is one star traded for another (Al Jefferson for Kevin Garnett maybe). They won't get a star back fro LMA. Anyways you didn't answer my question. The article says 'draft picks aren't an option' not 'draft picks would be a bad choice'.

Asik holds value not only as a far better center than Robin Lopez , but also as an expiring contract (2 yrs left).

I would trade all of our assets for Hillard. He is far superior to Lillard.
