Hardens PPG may go down a point or two, but he should average more than 21. And I think DH will average at least 20 as well.
Aren't going to happen, because then no other Rockets will ever touch the ball & score again. The opponent will just send one of those two to the FT line in every possession. One thing is for sure, the Rockets will be the dead last in FT % next season.
Have Asik and Dwight grow some beard. Maybe people will confuse them with Harden and avoid fouling. kidding...
I don't think Harden or Dwight's numbers will be all that high because I don't think they're going to be running their usual mpg So Harden : 24/6 (expect 34 mpg) Jones : Jones 12/5 Parsons : 16/4/4 Howard : 19/13 (expect 32 mpg) Lin : 12/7 The playoff versions of Harden and Dwight will probably be 3-4 ppg more and 1-2 r/a pg more.
Lin 13 pts, 8 assists Harden 27 pts, 5 assists Parsons 17, 7, 5 Jones 9 pts, 14 rebs Howard 20 pts, 14 rebs
Lin - 10 ppg / 7 ast / 3 rbds Harden - 24 ppg / 5 ast / 4 rbds Parsons - 16 ppg / 3 ast / 5 rbds DMo - 14 ppg / 3 ast / 6 rbds Howard - 21 ppg / 13 rbds / 3 blks
Lin 12 pts, 8 assists Harden 23 pts, 5 assists Parsons 15 pts, 5 rebs, 5 asts Jones 9 pts, 5 rebs 1 blk/ DMo 8 pts, 4 rebs Howard 20 pts, 14 rebs 3 blks
This seems right to me. Though I wouldn't be surprised to see Parsons numbers improve. More open shots with Dwight and he is only going to get better..
Lin 14 points 7 assists 3 boards 2 steals Harden 25 points 7 assists 5 boards 2 steals Parsons 15 points 5 boards 3 assists Montinues 10 points 7 boards 3 assists Howard 22 points 14 boards 3 blocks
What I'm seeing is the starters making around 80 points in average. To have an average total score around 106 (last season), the starters would be playing in average 36 minutes, providing that the bench scores at equal pace. If the bench scores less per minute, the starters need to score 80 points in less time. That's very hard to do without significant 3-point shooting (or score and FT). Furthermore, I think that means that Dwight and Asik on the floor together will not make it.
JLin- 14 pp 7.5 assist JHarden- 27 pp 5 rebs 5 assist Parson-15 pp 4 rebs 3 assist TJones- 7 pp 8 rebs D12- 21 pp 14 rebs 3 Block Trust Me
a more interesting question is what would our bench starting 5 be? Bev 8p/4a/4.5r Garcia 9p/2.5a/4r Casspi 4.5p/2a/3r dmo 9.5p/3a/7r asik 9p/2a/9r please no comments like swap lin for bev please lol
I take this any day of the week. The Rockets will be the NBA champions. That's 40 points from the bench and 27.5 rebounds. If they play less than 20 min in average, no team can answer that regardless how their starters play.
If TJones does 10/8 Luke everybody thinks, we are golden next year. I'm hoping he's around there too!
Sorry but who is going to create offense in this lineup? I'd feel much better with Lin leading this group.
