While I agree with a lot of what you said, I have to point out the wide misconception about the triangle offense. Most people think it is rigid and difficult to learn, however it is one of the most intuitive, read and react systems. The offense has a very improvisatory flow, where all pieces are thinking in unison. Nevertheless, you made some good points.

I don't think that is going to happen Harden and Howard would have ironed all these out before Dwight commited.

That's his main problem is his confidence, esp on the big stage like the playoffs. Yes his shooting needs work, but it did get better throughout the season and can be improved, but no one can give you confidence. You have to believe in yourself first.

The way we push Harden to play all those long minutes and drives. We are lucky is not injured.

Not really, a lot of the times in OKC harden was the main playmaker at the end of games with Westbrook playing the 2 guard. Even in OKC harden was the primary playmaker for most parts.

it's actually his dribbling skills. He needs to develop a dribble were he dribble at different heights with confidence. I hope he is working on it this season.

come on lin! work on it!

Agreed. I remember said how proud McHale was of his 'boys' @ one of the last games last year. And I do think the players respect McHale as a father like figure.

At times but not all the times. Durant likes the ball too. And Harden played over 30 minutes a game which meant those three were on the court together a lot. You think they let Harden constantly dominate the ball...? You think Westbrook would have let that happen...?

Yep, he really need to learn to play at different speeds. The dude really needs to watch some Drose video and his amazing hesitation moves.

A lot of the times during closing stages of games the ball was given to Harden or Durant. most of the times james would start with or after 8 or 9 seconds in the shot clock he would make his move. Just look at the playoffs against Dallas and the Spurs where he dominated with OKC.

lin would have to play the way he does already, just spot up occasionally play 2 man game in pick and roll. harden would be a terrible fit. the triangle offense is all about posting up. kobe and jordan were not good post players, elite. kobe was still elite this year! go watch the lakers in 2010. its all about posting up either pau or kobe, read and react to get to that point. if its not there, move the ball to the other side play a 2 man game.
with this team it would just be have to be a modified triangle aka the shaq triangle where it was just post him up. dwight is not that good. 120 in post ups situations. they cant even do the memphis high low, cause asik would brick 18 footers unlike marc gasol who punishes teams for laying back.

You keep talking about the end of the games. I'm telling you that during the games, Harden would play on and off the ball. He didn't dominate the ball the entire time he was in the game like you think. But just the same... We don't have the coaches to run the triangle.

When Harden and Westbrook were on the court together, Harden typically was the 'PG' between the two.

I think that Morey and McHale will test things out this year at least until the All-Star break, if not the entire season.

Howard and Asik will make us extremely tough in the paint.

MJ didn't start to share the ball until Phil convinced him to trust his teammates.

Harden says his number one priority on offense is working on his post game this offseason. He's still young and can definitely include that in his arsenal over the next few years.

He still had the ball in his hands A LOT... He didn't average 20-22 shots a game per his career by not having the ball (plus his assist and free throw attempts).

The players we have strengths requires more time with the ball then off it. I don't see how this is a team tailor made for the triangle.
