Beverly alone will shut down old Nash.

If I remember correctly division winners are guaranteed 1-4 seed, therefore it's impossible for Spurs and Rockets to be 3 n 4. Teach me if I'm wrong. No pun intended:confused:

The best one: "Yeah with houston as the 8th seed"... so he's implying they would be the #1 seed. LMAO

    1-3

There are only three divisions in each conference.

I wouldn't be surprised if we got the number 2 seed in the west and the lakers not even make the playoffs because they are so irrelevant...

So, if we play them in the playoffs the match-up would have to be:
    1. Rockets vs 8. Lakers

Do they actually think the Lakers can get into the playoffs?

That's if Nash even makes it to the playoffs.

Not only are Lakers fans mentally challenged, they feel their team superior to the rest of the league, regardless of the players they have, their record, the best center in the league telling them, "Adios. I'm going to Houston." They simply feel entitled. Well, they're entitled to nothing. Their team has to earn whatever they get, and right now, they've got squat. An old superstar with an injury few recover from, and if they do, it takes far longer than the time frame people are throwing around. Bryant will be lucky to be himself the season after next, when he'll be what? 53? They have an excellent power forward. And what else have they got? A collection of role players not as good as those we have ourselves?

No wonder they're either freaking out, or in total denial. For this season, the curtain has closed on Showtime.

A lot of them think without a doubt that Kobe is the best player in the NBA.

So they think he'll just return and everything will be as it 'should' be.

The Lakers defense is likely to be an embarrassment next year. Here's your possible starting five:

Nash (39-40 years old) -- Can't guard anyone, and that was in his prime
Kobe (35 years old) -- Didn't care about defense much last year BEFORE the injury
Nick Young -- All offense, no defense
Pau Gasol (33) -- Just had surgery on both knees, defense slipping for years
Chris Kaman (31) -- Seems uninterested in defense recently

And your coach is Mike D'Antoni, who could care less about defense.

That team will be lucky to make the playoffs. If they met Houston in the playoffs, lol. Would be ugly.

I got a good laugh. Sadly I feel like I easily get my daily fill of delusion reading through some threads on this board. Don't know what it is with some people who refuse to look at things objectively.

I honestly saw a Lakers fan say today that he felt the Lakers would be 4th in the West next year.

It's good to be able to be both realistic and optimistic, as we Rockets fans can be.

Lakers get 8th seed at best lol. Maybe 7th, but that's really pushing it.
    1. THunder
    2. Spurs
    3. Rockets
    4. Clips (clips are overrated)
    5. Memphis
    6. Warriors
    7. Nuggets
    8. Timberwolves

I think all these teams are better than the Lakers, maybe even the Jazz, Blazers, possibly the Pelicans are better than the Lakers.

If they think they are playing the Rockets in the first round then either they are an 8th seed and we are 1 seed (thank you Laker nation) or they are higher than an 8th seed (that's funny Laker Nation).
