So lately, I have been noticing random water puddles on my upstairs bathroom floor. The puddles seem to be in the same couple of areas, but it's not usage-related. In other words, it's not like the puddles occur after I turn the sink on, or water in the bathtub.

Any ideas on what this could be, or where the water could be coming from? I have a repairman coming to the house, but I want to get an idea of what this might be. Thanks!

If you live in Katy, you should evacuate immediately.

Is the gasket under your toilet loose? If so it will cause puddles to form near the area.

That's possible, but OP needs to post more info, with pics, etc.

It could be a roof leak. A roof leak is unrelated to water usage in a house and usually is noticed during severe weather/heavy rain.

That is my guess; I hope I am understanding your situation correctly.

Thanks for the help all. Actually, I have seen 2 main puddles. One puddle is between the toilet and the bathtub and the other forms in front of the sink. Both puddles emerge consistently at the same location.

What's concerning to me is the fact that neither puddle is "right next to anything". The puddle in front of the sink is probably a foot away from the sink. The space between the bathtub is minimal, but still the puddle is not close to either. That's what makes me think it's something leaking underneath the tile of the floor.

Could it possible be the A/C drain line that's clogged, and it's leaking through the walls? My attic is literally right above this bathroom, and that's where the unit sits.

If it is leaking up through your floor, that is concerning. Would mean you have a leak somewhere unseen and those spots just happen to be where it is able to escape.

Put out some paper towels to 'track' the leak.

Weird. No water leak today. I told the repairman to hold off on coming until I see the water again.

    Thanks all!
