It was great to have a tall guy who could do all those things the Rockets needed of him for about half a season. I barely knew you but realize why people appreciate having big guys again for having seen your play here.

I loved Camby while he was here and hope he gets a ring, but I hate the Knicks.

Don't think a trade would work given the salary matching requirement, but if Camby is bought out, would you bring back one of the elders in the league who was productive for the Rockets back in early 2012?

Given his age and how much he was injured last season, I doubt anyone would be signing him to much above the minimum and for anything more than an insurance/veteran leader role. He lives in Houston and wants to play for a "championship team in his mind." So why not?

If we trade Asik you jump on it. The problem is we are not trading Asik anytime soon.

Trade him to Toronto for Amir, Camby and a first rounder. Amir is a great defender and expires this year

They wouldn't accept that. They want to develop Jonas and I don't think they will want to pay Asik that much money for backup

I would do this as a midseason trade if Asik-DH doesn't work out and if Asik can't get flipped for for LA or Love.

If we can get him for the vet minimum, we should definitely do it.

At the very least, he's a huge upgrade over Greg Smith defensively.

He wasn't injured as much as outside-NY would like to think. He publicly stated he was 100% okay, he just wasn't getting ANY playing time.

A lot of NY fans were confused. NY Coach playing favorites.

Camby got shafted and Rockets came out WAY ahead in last years NY trade.
    +100 points to Morey.

I can see Camby playing for the Rockets for the minimum, hope he gets to come back.

He could be our long-range weapon.

Also vet wise. You never know the impact these old guys have on a young team.

Basically we let it be known through the grapevine that we will save a spot for him midseason when the market for Asik improves. That way, he can rest himself up and keep in shape for the regular season without going through the grind of it, then come out fresh after the ASB as our newest backup C.

I love the idea. Sell him on it!

He was rumored to be one of the ringleaders in that Blazers mutiny against McMillan.

If he is in shape I would at least take a look because Greg Smith is just no a center so we can keep him as a third PF and sign Camby as third center in case of injury and or foul trouble.
