Hey guys!! New member here! I'm from central Arkansas and I look forward to providing insight as I love Clutchfans and have been following it for several years now...I've been a Rockets fan since the Stevie Franchise era (about to be a senior in college) and I couldn't be happier as our patience for a ring is finally paying off! Also, I'm a huge Razorbacks fan so it's nice to see Bev playing his heart out and having BJ Young in the summer league. Cheers!

I actually thought he played well. His shots just were not falling. happens. his defense was very solid just couldn't get anything to fall. especially those free throws. But to me he showed that he has the athleticism, and skill to succeed. The real question is does he have the head to?

BTW, i noticed that people are wondering why Patrick Beverley is playing so hard in SL. I'll tell you why. Because Patrick Beverley knows that at the end of this SL road is Reggie Jackson;). Rematch!!!!!!:mad:

Same wingspan and standing reach as a 6'9" guy and can rebound and hit the three. If he hit the three at a 40% clip he will have a long NBA career. Already he has more skills than Novak. If he hits 3 out of 7 3's every game he will stick somewhere. You think Houston knows that's what they want him for and that's why he is shooting so many threes? Just maybe?

The intriguing part about Covington is defensive potential. He has the length, but does he have the athleticism? This may be a simpleton's take, but Covington looks like a possible 3-D player down the road.

In the regular season Dmo did have great foot work, great passing and good speed. The problem was his defense and that his jump shot wasn't falling.

Exactly. Summer League gives you an idea of what kind of player they can become but does not tell the whole story obviously. First stepping stone to the NBA.
Both Dmo and Tjones hit the Rookie Wall hard, but it's not everyone is ready like a certain Lillard.

Sounds good. IMO if he just plays solid man D he'll be fine.

I said he played bad, that's by his D-league/summer league standard. He has sets a very high one for himself.

Covington looks like he has the potential be an energy guy like PJ Tucker on the Suns last season who plays both forward positions. If he can be effective Tucker he'll have a role.

Jones looks like he is being showcased. I don't think we're going to see all this ball on the floor game from Jones. What will his game be on the team?

Covington has more upside, offensively and defensively, than Anderson. Wanna bet if either of them make the Rockets roster, it will be Covington?

Point forward. Bring it up and get it to someone quickly. Having a big man who can do this is priceless.
If he can play this way and keep his TO's down, we may have what we are looking for.

The Rockets have a pretty good defensive bunch. I like where this is going.

D-Mo has good footwork on offense, he has terrible footwork on defense, gets tripped up defending the pick and roll ... and even gets in the way of his teammates.

I think Jones is just that all around versatile, and he's showcasing himself.

He shoot poorly but still contributed with blocks, rebounds and getting some foul calls. That to me is a sign of a useful player.

Why cant his game be what it is now? If Jones isnt a starter, he'd be a nice spark off the bench.

If someone proven like Granger is available for relatively cheap you let go of Covington.
