He was solid last year for PHX. I'd say he was even better than Scola that year. If we get him though, does this mean Omer is moving out?
Doesn't make sense for us to go after an older player who's also injury prone. Just look at guys like Nash/Shaq/Amare after leaving the Suns. I admire the fact that he's trying to win a championship before retiring, but I fear an injury is going to force him to hang it up.
I'd rather get Oden than this guy. Both are injury prone but Oden will most likely come cheaper but he is younger and there's a chance that he can be serviceable.
So... a guy who averaged 8.3 ppg 5.3 rpg and 1.4 bpg in only 18.7 minutes per game is "done"? Can you think a better free agent center that will sign for the veteran minimum?
I think this will be more like a Shaq and Wade type situation. Howard will think it's his team but all the while McHale and Morey will be telling Harden that he's the man like Riley did with Wade. It will show on the court. And really how much of a leader can a guy be when he can't be depended on at the end of close games when you fear him getting fouled.
he would be done everywhere else. Phoenix just has a magic youth fountain that allowed guys like O'Neal, Shaq, Nash, Hill, and Redd to have vintage seasons. Look what happened when they left phoenix, they all broke down.
