Al Horford fits this team better than Josh Smith would have. Horford has a nice mid range jumper, and is a solid player overall.

With the Hawks signing Milsap, that means Horford will still be forced to play Center, which I'm sure he doesn't like, he's a natural 4.

So, is Al Horford a possibility? If we can't get LaMarcus, which is going to be extremely tough since we don't have anything that Portland wants, Horford's game is very similar to Aldridge's.

    What do you think?

I like the vibe as in the three (H's) representing H-Town. Howard, Harden, Horford?

I don't think it is possible, but if the Hawks would do it, HELL YES.

Yes. Although it will take more than just Asik to get Horford.

And we would have triple H - howard, horford, and harden.

    Nope, Hawks won't trade him.

This. But, doesn't hurt to try.

Asik, Jones, Motiejunas and two 1sts. That's a big offer.

It's a long shot, I know, but still more realistic than us getting Aldridge, in my honest opinion.

Hawks definitely aren't trading him. Looks like they are keeping him at center as well as the Millsap signing indicates.

Hawks will forever be content on staying mediocre. Trading Horford is something that takes balls to do... something that a GM like Hinkie or Morey would do in a hearbeat to burn it down and start fresh.

If for some inconceivable reason Hawks are willing to move him for essentially just Asik (and maybe some young prospects)...then uh, yeah definitely.

Aldridge is a real long shot. I wonder if POR would do SnT JJ Hickson + Meyers Leonard for Asik...

He would be ideal! Hawks wouldn't do it though. I'd give them Asik, Lin, and anyone else not named Dwight, James, and Chandler. They can even have first round, second round picks, and any Euro stash we have...

Al is a banger with a jumper. He doesn't have 3 range so hes not a spread 4, but he can stretch the floor.

The Hawks are talking to Bynum & pondering an offer for Pekovic. It's highly unlikely, but a full rebuild makes anyone expendable.

If I'm the Hawks I would much rather "rebuild" around Horford (if he's ok with that idea) than trade for Asik.

Even if Horford asks to be traded I think they could get A WHOLE LOT more than Asik for him.

Hawks won't do it, they need a center but they also need Horford's versatility
