I believe the Schef that he'll announce by Friday. But I don't believe "it's up in the air" I think he pretty much knows, just wants to take some time to be sure...
He can announce who he's signing with whenever he wants, but the actual introduction/press conference is separate. He won't wait another week and a half to announce where he's going.

Wait a minute... After freaking out about this, and thinking more clearly about what was said, maybe this is what he means... Dwight Howard will announce his decision on 7/5 on who he will play for (Rockets) and then before next Friday, he will be acclimate himself with the city of Houston, meet up with Rockets organization, meet up with Harden, Parsons, Hakeem with some celebratory dinners, share some laughs, and then next friday, Rockets.COM will announce the press conference of Dwight Howard open to the public at Toyota Center!! :grin:
