Give me one of the top 5, and in some people's opinion, the top PG in the league any day if all we'd have to give up is Lin/Asik/TRob + draft picks.

    He and Harden could work.

Heck, I would think that when that first thread was made, the hate and criticism were at an all time.

Lol Rondo has had as many triple doubles games as Jeremy Lin has even played... go some where else with all that Lin hype.

I thought the Lin hater's primary argument was that Lin does not complement Harden's game. Rondo would need the ball even more than Lin does to be successful.

Per all the "experts" here, Harden's perfect back court mate would be a 3 pt specialist who can play lock down D. That is neither Paul or Rondo. And even if they could adapt, what an absolute waste of their talents.

Why would Celtics dismantle so quickly?!?!?!? Obviously Rondo isn't a team player unlike his stats say. Doc Rivers left there for a reason and Rondo was quiet when Pierce and Garnett was traded, their heart and soul. 24% career shooting for 3 pointers is pathetic which is probaly one of the beef Rivers has against Rondo, develop your 3 point range. Rondo is a team killer, Rivers saw it firsthand.

When Harden needs a break and is on the bench Rondo can single handedly take over a game and win it in the playoffs. Rondo has proven that in his career. Lin we can wait on him but I wouldn't be surprised if after 5 years pass by we all are on this board only respecting Lin from a moral perspective. I'm tired of that BS and supposedly so is Les Alexander.

That's true, but what happens at the end of games? If we did somehow get Rondo, I'd honestly prefer he handle the ball more, but Harden obviously wants it during crunch time. Does Rondo become a spot up shooter then?

Go talk to the Heat about Mario. One year left at 4mil. Good, not great 3 point shooter and defender, used to getting yelled at by super star teammates, used
to being a point guard without the ball, but has good ball handling and good ally oop passing skills for Howard. He is like what you drafted in 2nd round but with 20 games of finals experience so your rookie would have a year to adjust. Salary dump Lin to Hotlanta(they need something to stir interest) and get a 2nd pick or two. Maybe Brooks and one of your young bigs to Heat but I don't know enough of your team to say who but it would open enough space for Howard ,btw why do you want cancer again?

Rondo has attitude, but IF you are able to sign the #1 center in the league while simultaneously trading a #5-10 center and a #25 point guard for a #3 point guard (Paul & Rose top 2 - arguably) uuuuuuh you fackin' do it!!!

P.G. - Rondo #3 (Gives back court D a mega dose of steroids)
    S.G. - Harden #2 (Kobe ain't dead yet)
    S.F. - Parsons #10-12
    P.F. - Jones #28 (Learning curve)
    ..C. - Howard #1

Where can I buy some tickets?? Honey, we're selling the car!!!

    NO THANKS

Rondo is very overrated, and more importantly, he can't shoot.

We need a point guard who can shoot. End of story.

but jeremy lin cant shoot hes a bad 3 pt shooter. how is rondo any different? better passer? well but he has to share the ball with harden. but if rondo cant shoot then do you remember how teams defend against harden? do u remember what they said about jeremy lin too?

o cuz u dont pay attention. "if he cant shoot they gonna give him space and focus on the paint 100% more" how is harden gonna penetrate then?

Hmmm... proven player against potential. I go with proven player every single day.

And i can't understand the love of heavy Harden ISO. I want the ball to be in the hands of the PGs. Both Jordan and Kobe's game improve after they have the ball taken away from their hands. Have Harden in position to create/score to maximized his skill instead of having Harden create/score out from nothing.

Jeremy Lin has basically 2 seasons worth of experience at most, and has a 3pt% in the 30s, and has been improving.

Rondo is 4 years older, has 7 years of NBA experience and has a 3pt% in the lower 20s.

There is zero room for you to claim JLin isn't a better shooter than Rondo.

Rondo is a headcase who has been the PG of a mediocre offense ever since it featured him more prominently that can't shoot free throws and has a broken jump-shot.

Not even worth a look, let alone Lin AND Asik in a team that already has James Harden on it.

You can't be a great shooter if you shoot under 65% from the FT line.

No offense, but BR is generally treated as trash :p

And Rondo would be a pretty bad fit on our team. Not just his potential attitude problems, but he requires the ball in his hands way too much. I mean, so does Chris Paul, but that is CP3. Rondo != CP3. Offenses get more bogged down w/ Rondo at the helm.
