It depends if they are interested in anyone. Otherwise its just paying 2.1 million for a pot shot. Why don't they throw T-Rob in the deal?
Maybe the rumors of rox doing sign and trade are true and we kept Thomas because he will be part of it. May not be true but just a idea before we get to carried away why we didn't trade him tonight
Simmons can't help himself with the trade. Wizards select Kazemi and "back to that Garnett/Pierce trade". Ha. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/uXPsZnS8CT8?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I think everyone is scared of Dallas for the wrong reasons. I think Dallas is stockpiling assets to trade for LMA, not aquire Dwight
Lol...Dallas gets some Irrelevant players. Howard is coming here before there because he can play with Harden...not some midround+ players that may not even last in the NBA. If he wants to be the face of a franchise and wait for the FA he could do that in L.A and not Dallas. That's taking a risk either way....
There were rumours that the Rockets got a better offer than Cav's 19th pick. Maybe a trade will be announced tomorrow when the dust settles.
We don't have to be so active like years past we have our STARvwe have Mac cap room even if Dwight stays or signs somewhere else we will still be a good team next year even with no signings I think morey has just spoiled us a little bit because we are use to so much activity and aggressive wheeling and dealing we don't have to do that no more we can sit back wait our options and make the RIGHT deal or sign the RIGHT free agent and that's it morey has even said now we can be patient and wait for the right deal now so like I always say In morey we trust
they had reports of Cavs and Bulls and Spurs going after T-Rob for this pick and that pick and all this wait till draft night Rockets trading T-Rob and then ....blah !
Dirk and LMA essentially occupy the same space on the floor. I don't think it would be a wise move for one to play the 5, and the other to play the 4.
Just don't ask. The people in here crying, saying it's all over, and we're taking a backseat now are not worth having a conversation with. People see any sort of move and they associate it with 'doing the right thing'. We just a certain amount of cap we have cleared in order to sign Dwight outright, and the front office knows that and will get it done. We're not just going to sit idle and lose Dwight due to lack of cap. That's all that matters at the end of the day- Dallas isn't going to gain some giant lead because of whatever rookies they landed. In the end it'll just come down to where Dwight wants to go- and both teams will have the room to sign him.
I actually thought that the Celtics did fine with the trade. Garnett and Pierce were still good last year, but they are two older guys who were not really gonna get the Celtics anywhere even if they stayed on the team and played as well as they did last season. And there is a substantial chance for a fall-off at their respective ages. They landed 3 draft picks for it, which can turn into good players or trade assets. Gerald Wallace's contract is not good, but is it really standing in the way of any big free agent signing?
I'm jus sayin...that's all speculation. The FO didn't build anything up and I doubt Morey is in panic mode over not moving Trob yet.
Why would Dwight play in Dallas? He's would go through a similar scenario in Dallas than he would in LA; aging super star, crappy depth behind them. If he wants to win and promote his brand in China, this is the place to do it. He also won't happen to be the first option here.
