FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots have announced the release of tight end Aaron Hernandez following his arrest in the investigation of a homicide last week in North Attleboro, Mass. The New England Patriots issued the following statement: “A young man was murdered last week and we extend our sympathies to the family and friends who mourn his loss. Words cannot express the disappointment we feel knowing that one of our players was arrested as a result of this investigation. We realize that law enforcement investigations into this matter are ongoing. We support their efforts and respect the process. At this time, we believe this transaction is simply the right thing to do.”

****ing horrible week for Boston sports. I'll be waiting for bad news on the Red Sox and the Revolutions as well.
"and hired cleaners to scrub down his house hours before Lloyd was found dead." Link: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/06/2...aaron-hernandez-arrested-at-home-report-says/
Come on ESPN. Why hire Ray Lewis if you are just going to shield him from this news? Not even a phone call to Ray to get his expert analysis on this matter?
good to know some organizations still have morals, now let me get back to recording your posts so I can use them later as my own.
hernandez was mediocre last year. him and llyod (c wat i did there) kept droppin passes and the pats still made the afccg lol. i don't think losing hernandez will hurt them that much

I read it was $5 mil this year and $7.5 mil next year since they dumped him after June 1 and they can't go after it
So he had his house cleaned before he was approached by police? Then what exactly did he do wrong? You cant even get him for destroying evidence or obstructing justice unless someone can prove he knew that guy was dead and that the police would be interested. Perfect play by Hernandez.
