Technically he is a free agent, he became a free agent after the season end/exit interviews, but the moratorium that prevents other teams talking to him doesn't end until July 1.

Can we close this thread? We know its bogus and we have enough things to legitimately worry about as Rockets fans already for us to have to stare at this on page 1 of the GARM every time we log in.

There's about a million rules that David Stern doesn't enforce, he just makes extra rules to give himself the option of punishing anyone anytime they piss him off for whatever reason. For example, Dwyane Wade gets mad at Stern during a press conference and says "Don't point your finger at me, I'm not your child" which had a lot of people including Pat Riley snickering while Stern's face turned into a giant tomato. 2 weeks later the Miami Heat get fined 500k for some ridiculous reason.

His contract with the Lakers runs until June 30th, so he is not a FA until July 1st

    This is how it works:

    Parsons - Tampers/fined
Les - Pays fine using money earned from cash cow
    Lin - Cash cow
Harden - Parsons' main argument for Dwight
Asik - Second reason for Dwight to come to Houston
    McHale - Third reason
Morey - Laughs his ass off thinking how he managed to pull all this off

Stupid rule, and unenforceable. The way it reads is that they could accuse pretty much almost any player of tampering. How do they enforce this? They can't. Someone will have to do something really stupid and leave a big trail of breadcrumbs in order for the NBA to do anything about it.

So I say "Entice away, Chandler".

He said she said kind of thing. Chandler Parsons could be saying he's talking to Dwight when in fact he may not be. Who cares? In the end Dwight will go to which ever team he wants to.

Stern should enforce a brown bag over parsons head to avoid any chance of enticing bosh to the rockets

There is no way to stop this. They could text or call each other, facebook message or tweet each other, or if it were really extreme go on xbox live and party chat on there. It's not the NCAA, where they only get so many contact hours, these are grown men having conversations on their off periods.

I don't know if Parsons is aware that Dwight could mean the end for Lin and Asik. :( isn't it a little awkward....friendship much? :(
