Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers Reportedly Interested in Clippers

Sounds like the Clippers master plan is exactly what WE wanted to do.

 

I bet Morey goes mafia style on these GM's and gives everyone in the league a reason to hate us.

 

I think the DH12 / CP3 bit is smoke and mirrors, yes. That sort of thing gets fed to the media, especially to doorknobs---er, nice, respectable, creditable reporters---like Broussard whose job is to create viewership/web hits. Sure, he's being used, but it's like "The Tailor of Panama". The spy knows his mark is making stuff up, but he loves it; he knows his bosses will cream (or s***) themselves when they hear it:

Spy: You've excelled yourself. This is a better yarn than (the one about) Arthur Braithwaite.

Tailor: Are you implying that I'm... (lying?)

Spy: Doesn't matter what I think. It plays.

CP3 is definitely milking every last ounce of leverage to get his team to improve. Don't blame him, but it is getting heavy-handed. Still, while CP3's next contract remains unsigned, it'll continue.

Gotta agree. But I'd simply say, Who'd want that contract? Even in a league desperate for bigs, $10,000,000 a year for a 24 mpg no-free-throw no-BB-IQ center is waaaaaaaaaaaay too much.

 

This better not be another lopsided trade in favour of LA

All these reports say the Clippers are saying the Celtics want to much but I really haven't seen one trade proposal that favors the Celtics.

Jordan is pretty bad, 1st round picks aren't worth much from the Clippers and the Celtics (supposedly) can't get Bledsoe in the deal.

Yeah definitely. I don't think Sterling really wants KG/Doc or even Dwight. He never has paid coaches and Blake is a "cool" cash cow for Sterling's brand.

So what are the chances that the Dwight for Griffin trade happens if KG, Doc dont go to the clippers?

 

I can see why the Clippers want Doc, but not KG.

If you're the Lakers would you rather trade Dwight to the Clippers team for Griffinand Bledsoe (who i think are both a tad overrated) or tank and get a chance at Andrew Wiggins?

I think the Lakers would rather trade Howard to the Rockets than to the Clippers.
