What do you guys think of Jalen Rose as a commentator?

He did said "Howard is best for Houston" so what with everyone hating??

You guys are unreal people complain how people diss Houston and yet this guy says nothing but good things about the Rockets. Jalen Rose has my permission to be a commentator for the Rockets

 

You guys are nerds and losers. Jalen and Bill are the dynamic duo. "Don't get fired, Bill Simmons"

Listen to his stuff on Grantland too... he has very funny and cool stories that give you a lot of inside information on the "fraternity" of NBA players.

 

I love him on Grantland. The only person I don't like on Countdown is surprisingly Magic.

 

For a player known for great basketball IQ and being a business mogul Magic says the dumbest stuff sometimes.

 

He's better than the clowns on TNT.

 

the worst part about espn's countdown is..there's not a leader who facilitates the conversation..for a while i thought it was the guy from PTI..now jalen takes over..bill simmons looks high.

and to top it all off..jalen talks like a r****d and calls everyone by their full name. I GET IT..HIS FKING NAME IS BILL SIMMONS.

 

Why so quick to jump to conclusions?

After all, "he's very perspective."

 

i like jalen rose... the espn/abc crew is boring

 

I like him. He has some interesting insights and the tone of his voice is kind of catchy.

 

I don't like Jalen Rose at all. Can barely look at him.

Confession: Still haven't forgiven his dirty foul on Mario Elie. Not joking. His complete lack of remorse or concern for what happened to Elie right after the play (and later on) reflected poorly on his character.

In college at Michigan, he acted like an immature, arrogant, entitled jerkhead (yes, even compared to other worshiped college bball players at the time). That carried on to the NBA. IIRC, he was not media friendly at all. His mutation into a talking head is hard for me to stomach.

 

Jalen needs to replace Screamin A on First Take... he owns Bayless

 

Dude he sucks. He said Lin is the best player on the Rockets..and this was after the November/December where Harden was ballin

I like him, I think he's funny, but I don't think he's a great commentator.

 

I don't like him on ESPN, but I like him a lot on grantland.

 

Bill simmons is by far the worst and most annoying

 

cannot STAND the way he talks and puts odd stresses on words. He's not a bad analyst but not great either, certainly better than Reggie. His input on Grantland is nice, but I just can't stand his voice.

Constantly using matching facial expressions inappropriate for the tone of his voice, inflection, what he's saying. Like raising his eyebrows & bugging his eyes out as if what he's telling us is shocking him, but while speaking in a flat monotone. And weird timing.

We're some nitpickers.

 

Well, he is not very good, but he is still better than anyone in TNT. ESPN keeps a change in each year, at least you can see some fresh faces.
