If we get rid of Asik, I'll be extremely disappointed.

Asik is a monster and really just found out what he is capable of. It would be such a shame to see him go to the Lakers and become a dominate player

This off season is going to be so exciting.

I'm not worried about what we need until we get that second star next to Harden. Whether it be Howard or someone else, I suggest you guys all focus on that.

Dream had a beautiful mid-range game. He created space on the floor. When Charles came to Houston, Dream actually stepped out more and allowed him to work the left post. I can't see that kind of spacing with Howard and Asik. I think Harden's ability to penetrate would really be compromised.

Didn't Gortat/Howard play alongside each other as starters at some point?

I lost it at Kevinv McHale as defensive minded.

Also maybe Dwight feels if he and Asik play together they'll just be a defensive minded/rebounding machines for the Rockets and let the offensive come from the PG/SG/SF all our offensive power comes from those position. Just a dominating twin towers just minus alot of offense.

Another reason that works for Spurs is Duncan/Splitter are decent passers.

Asik and Dwight aren't high post players who can pass. Either of them are face up players.

It can possibly work w/ Marc and Dwight or Joakim and Dwight but not with Asik and Dwight.

Who says that Asik and Dwight will have to be in the starting line up? T-Jones and Dwight would make a lot more sense especially if Jones work on those threes and midrange shots. Let Asik get 30-32 minutes a game off the bench. That's the average time he spend this year starting so that way Rockets will always have a dominant defensive BIG man prowling around the paint.

I read this and the only thing I see is that Howard will use us as a bargaining chip.

I think having james harden will attract howard. Last year, we didnt have anybody to attract him. I hope this is true.

To get player(s) he wants on the team with him. That, I fear, is how Rox would get JSmoothe if DHoHo were to alight at TheToyShop.

Not that they were ever realistically a landing spot or talked about but...
