A typical young guy with insane potential on the wrong team. I think Cousins with the mentor of Mchale and on a new team could turn him into the BEST CENTER 2-3 years from now. Are the Rockets willing to give up: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cgl9jb7 Sac gets: Parsons, Asik, Beverely & two first rounders Hou gets: Demarcus Cousins + two ridicolous contracts in Marcus Thorton Travis Outlaw I think Cousins would be a great plan B if Houston fails to lure D12 or Cp3. Adjust the trade if you guys think either team is getting the wrong end.
But not for that package. But for Sacramento to give up on him, we seize an opportunity we don't match it. That type of trade is counter productive.
Im sure he's an option if the Kings have him available but shouldnt this be in the Houston Rockets trade idea thread?
Sacramento needs to create a buzz if they're staying put. Jermey Lin, D-Mo & Greg Smith for cousins. I love D-Mo and would hate to trade him but you got to give up something to get something. Lin is from NoCal so I'm positive they would be interested in a package that includes Lin. PG -Bev/brooks/FA signing? SG-harden/Anderson SF -parsons/Delfino or Garcia PF-DMC/tjones/trob C-Asik/DMC
What has Cousins done to get the Kings out of the cellar of the NBA? What has he done as a player that warrants respect that you'd give up Asik, some filler contracts and even 1 first round pick? We have already traded players for potential with the acquisition of Thomas Robinson, why do it again with someone that we know has personality and responsibility issues?
Asik, Beverley, DMo, TJones, and Houston's 2014 1st for Cousins is the minimum offer Sac will consider, and the max offer that Houston will make. Maybe.....just maybe....committing to a 5 year $70-80 million contract will scare Sacs management. We will need some help.
Why trade for him when the Rockets could just sign him as a FA next offseason, assuming he doesn't re-sign with Sac and Rockets don't make big moves this summer?
I would lose Parsons if it meant getting Love or LMA who are established stars at this point, but Cousins is still a bit risky to do that with how much Chandler has improved.
This is a joke right? 17.1 ppg 9.9 rpg 2.7 apg 1.4 spg .7 bpg on .465% in 30 mins for 75 games last season = what has he done for respect and comparing him to robinson potential/impact wise. Demarcous is a proven player, a star imo. Robinson is a project.
Awful defense, inefficient offense, and one of the worst records in the league makes Cousins a star? Yeah, I don't think so.
3rd year player and D. Cuz is already putting up Zach Randolph numbers with a less talented supporting cast. We can build a team around this guy.
All those faults you named of him imo are faults of the kings orginization. I think cousins would thrive with a team like the rockets.
Was DeMarcus Cousins ever an option? Because I'm pretty sure if he was he'd already be wearing a Rockets jersey.
I think you're right. I would prefer to keep a steady Asik instead of a talented but erratic Cousins. Using the cap room,to get a 4 is a better way to go instead.
