no to howard. What is Asik, chopped liver? Dude is a double-double machine, with a GREAT attitude, and still has upside. Dwight has peaked and is injury prone.

I'd rather go for a stud PF, a strong backup-C, maybe a JJ Redick type (or JJ Redick) and a stud defender off the bench. That is all.

Keep the rest of the team. DWIGHT IS GARBAGE and a chemistry wrecker. Ask Kobe how well he works with others?! Ask the Lakers how well it worked out for him here and getting them to the finals (ahem, past round 1!). I live in LA...nobody thinks he's worth the max here..seriously...because of all the negatives he adds.

We do have to remember that in a year or two Parsons will be up for an extension, and Les is loath to pay the luxury tax.

Ideal would be Kevin Love and then Chuck Hayes as backup 5/4 for defense, but not even the Warren Commission can come up with the "magic bullet" to make those trades work.

Uhh yeah they can, and if CP3 is a real possibility, Morey will pick him over Dwight. Morey views Paul as one of the best players ever.

No, if you bring in Smith and Paul, you'd definitely have to dump Asik's salary

Come on Beard! Channel your inner D-Wade and recruit/convince Paul and Howard to take a pay cut to be winning and be happy!

1st time being the main man. Next season after we get another Superstar, we should see a different Harden.

I think even after the upsetting LAC to MEM loss, CP3 will not come to HOU...by himself. If we pull off a CP3 + D12 sort of move, it actually ups the chances of both coming here.

We create a group that can easily rival the Heat, and both will take less slack from the media/fan base they are leaving because they're both making the shift over to form this super team.

The fact that it is financially possible for us to do it while retaining a bench and lineup that has, imo, more depth than the Heat's team did their first yr together...is just gravy.

CP3 + JSmoove is, financially, actually a relatively easy move to pull off. Assuming Smith agrees to $14M that is. If he wants more, it gets really tricky and not worth it imo.

Again, I think our chances of convincing CP3 to come alone is < chances of getting CP3 if D12 is coming too, i.e., the chance of them coming together is much greater than either CP3 or D12 coming independently.

People shouldn't be afraid of getting skewered by the media to form a superteam. The main reason to play through a season is to get to the playoffs. And the main reason to play through that is to get the ring.

As long as you're not cheating to do it, who cares how you do it?

LeBron really paved the way for anyone wanting to create superteams though. It's hard to top the decision.

Sure, but that's a value judgment right? A can value money more than B can value winning more than C can value reputation, and you can't say one is more "right" than the other.

As a Houston fan, I do like the mindset that you should not care about what the media thinks so long as you want to win a ring and will do what you can to accomplish that goal. Now if I were an LA fan, but feelings might be different...lol.
