What about spots to watch the game and drink while watching it? I usually go to luckys but I was wondering if there was something where there are more fans, I went to game 4 but tix got too expensive for me on game 6
If Jet lounge is open, it's not bad. Cheap beer and not too many people there so service is fast. Sometimes they will have games on tv. Pease and La branch
didnt mayor parker make it legal to tailgate on gameday in DT.. grab a cooler and pregame in the parking lot..
pretty much...park, pregame at lucky's, ride the shuttle, watch game, keep drinking, rockets win, happy, call shuttle or wait for it outside of toyota center, ride back, keep drinking at lucky's cuz the rockets won game 6!!!!!
Thanks for reply! Sounds like a plan! Friend gets off at6 so I'm hoping we have time to pre drink there
I actually like to park and walk from the warehouse district which is on the other side of 59 across from minute maid park. There is a Little Woodrow's and a Luckys right there by Warehouse Live which is a pretty neat music venue too. You might be able to catch a halfway decent band or something afterwards although Houston hasn't quite absorbed a real quality live music scene yet. On the other side of 59 downtown about 2 blocks north of the Toyota Center you can go over by the House of blues where there is a bar or two. Dirt bar is ok, but a little pricey. You can always do mid-town beforehand, but your gonna have to park twice... if you can even find a spot over there. My suggestion would be luckys or little woodrows.
This. Pretty sure it's legal to tailgate in the downtown entertainment district since the Dynamo's new stadium opened up.
