I had hoped Lin would be available tonight. If he is still considered a gametime decision, then i don't think he should play.
The one negative i could say about Beverley is that he gambles way too much. He continues to leave his man wide open when he does this. This is why Fisher continues to be a factor. Beverley just needs to shut the remainder of their PG'S(Jackson, Fisher) play down and we got this.
Which has been my biggest complaint about Beverley this whole time. He makes a lot of good things happen but we can't have guys like Fisher, Jackson and Martin shooting wide open shots. We were lucky Jackson only hit one of his three open looks at the end of Game 4. Had he hit one other we would've lost. (Can't believe we are agreeing again Badlee- lol)
I hope Bev cannot be so good, so Lin can get back in the next game as a starter. Doesn't matter how good Bev is, he can't attract so many fans from Asia like Lin.
Do you all see the trend? It started when Beverley got the start. The minute he was put into the starting line-up, the Rockets started to trend upward.
Getting Westbrook out, although unintentional, will be Bev's biggest contribution whether we win this series or not.
Bev's been playing great, no doubt, but he's going against some pretty awful defensive PGs, whereas Lin was going against Westbrook, one of the better on-ball defenders in the league (per synergy).
Well Beverly's also the guy who put WB out of commission. I'm not wishing any harm on any player, but let's be real here. With Lin out, if Beverly hadn't injured WB we would have been eliminated at this point. I like Beverly a lot, he's like Brooks except without the attitude. He's always aggressive and plays wiht a ton of energy. His defense is starting to pick up as well, once he starts to be able to make plays for others I think he's gonna be a really good starter quality pg in the league.
LOL I remember Clutch getting crucified for saying Bev should start. Dude has been writing and posting about the rockets for 17 yrs now. He knows what he's talking about.
