Before you made this decision, you might want to listen to Shaq's comment on Howards.

    To sum it up:
    1) Howard does not has his 1 or 2 goto moves.
    2) Immature - Always complaint he got hacked. Instead of complaining, just deal with it.

1.McHale will help DH develop his goto moves.
The Rockets have the best coaching staff to develop big men.

2.The Knicks have the same problem. It can be easily fixed.

I don't have much hope that Dwight will "develop" much more. Hopefully he just gets healthy and is back to Orlando form.

Big ego's win Championships, Hakeem (used to be called the black hole by teammate) , Jordan, Lebron, Wilt (20,000 women served). I want a guy who thinks he is the center of the universe. I don't want to marry Dwight. I want him to come to Houston and win a championship. That being said, he is a p***y compared to those guys mentioned.

Dwight isn't going to Portland. Not now, not ever.

I fail to see why Houston would be more attractive to Howard than Portland. If he's willing to give up the extra money and glamor of LA, seems like Portlands with Aldridge & Lillard offers just as good of a chance for him to win when compared to Harden & Lin

Too many white hipsters, I don't think he wants to grind his own coffee, grow his own veggies, and listen to bands that nobody has ever heard about.

Sorry, big ego don't win championship. You need great players (plural) and great coach to win championship.

If Howard come to the Rockets, he become a liability. He is virtually useless in Q4. If there is a big lead, and he is in there, he will get hack by the other team.

Worst, instead of dealing with hack-a-shaq, say improve his free throw, he just complaint like a kid.

Well it goes something like this, setting aside the players/situation/money.
Houston isn't LA in size or glamour but Houston is still a much bigger market
than Portland and gets far more exposure nationally and internationally than
Portland will ever get. If you want attention (which Howard craves) you're not
going to get it going to a smaller city especially if that city isn't even a tourist
    destination!

For starters, compare the record of Houston's core this year to Portland's. If you're wanting to compare which supporting cast gives Dwight the better chance to win, it would seem looking at records without him could be some indicator.

Second, sorry, Dwight's not going to arguably the smallest market in the league. Adidas, etc. I think he'd be willing to come here, but even dropping from LA to Houston (fourth largest city) will have some impact and would be a drawback. Dropping from LA to Portland is just off the charts. Not happening.

How many stars are out there that are better than Howard that are attainable?

    0.

If you can get him without giving up any major assets, you do it every single time.

Exactly... In Dwight's mind he'd want to go to the biggest market that will give him the best chance to win a championship.

We're younger and better. Harden will be the best SG in the NBA within a year or two and the fact that we can trade Asik to improve the roster elsewhere should not be ignored.

Asik isn't any better at those things but you aren't paying Asik $18-20 million either. ;)

So what are you getting for that extra $10-12 million? Better finisher & defender/shot blocker?
