It's quite common among young Asians to use that word among eachother and others. Like said before. There's a difference between using the a and adding the Er. It would have been different the the other way. Stupid but that's how it is.

I find it pathetic when Asians use this word amongst each other. I understand that Asian Americans haven't yet really established their own brand of popular culture that is endemic to the group, but co-opting the N word and blatantly mimicking the mannerisms of another ethnic group just to seem "cool" reeks of insecurity, not to mention that its awkward as hell to behold.
