McHale's term is fancier--"ball got sticky". Or as we like to call it--we ISO. Nothing new in what Ibaka said.
This. The only reason we beat the Thunder was because we had amazing games from Harden and Lin on the same night. We simply do not have the horses to beat the Thunder. Some posters keep saying we have a lot of talent, but we do not. Harden is the only player that is irreplacable and Parsons and Asik are above average.... not at any other positions.
take harden out that will force everyone to move instead of standing around with passing lanes covered. rocket players to too used to standing around when they see harden on the floor in big games.
Nah a hardcore LOF would just say. "Lin needs to be PG, he's the only one that can get everyone their shots." This sounds like more of a knock against the coach. I mean Ibaka says they can just switch and know the Rockets will take a tough contested shot no matter who it is and he's right...because they love their threes. It's easy to guard against this team unless they just get hot...but they do not make things easy for themselves with how they play.
beacuse they are smart... much smarter than many of knee-jerk clutchfans who think the series is already finished when it has just started...its only 1 game and it means nothing....
Again. It's due to the PG role. Whenever Lin got "the" PG role, we rock. Lin distributes the ball "unselfishly" to everyone plus creating space for easy bucket. All 5 people became a weapon for the offense. That's when our team max out. (Teamball) When Harden or Parson took over PG role. We are doom. They both will trying to score first as priority and if they cannot make a shot, then they pass the ball.
"GTFO IBAKA YOU LOF." -LOH Anybody with a modicum of intelligence can see james harden is a selfish self absorbed ball hog who is being enabled by an utterly incompetent head coach in kevin mcfail.
and what happened when it stopped? james harden came back in the game. i see you failed to mention that.
Problem was that Lin couldn't handle the pg role last game. Silly turnovers, not being able to hit a shot, and the Thunders athleticism gave him too much trouble.
Why is everyone assuming he was talking about Harden? Lin and Parsons also had many possessions where they just went one on one after a switch.
