First Round: PG Matchup - Lin vs Westbrook

I don't watch OKC games. So can anyone tell me how is Westbrook superior to Lin? I sometimes check his box score after a game, and he seemed to brick and take a lots of shots just to get his season average.

 

Lin wasn't "the" PG in Mchale's system. There's no match.

 

Yes, player with below league average PER is just as good as player with 8th best PER in the league.

Lowry and Dragic really struggled in Houston, I agree.

 

I agree. We should really stop rooting for Lin and instead find reasons to knock fans who like his game. Westbrook' gonna murder Lin. I luv it.

According to PER,
- Stoudemire is 13th best player.
- There are 8 centers who are better than Dwight.
- Brook Lopez is the best Center and 5th best player in the league.
- Andray Blatche is second best Center and 14th best player.
- Brandan Wright is 20th best player.
- Those two above are better than LMAldridge and MGasol.
- Hickson is better than Marc too.

they are the 1st option in offense and don't play with ball dominant SG.

 

I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of Beverley because of his defense.

Umm, did they play with Harden?

Lin is not the PG on this team... Harden is. Lin is barely a starter in many games given his minutes. You want Lin to have better stats, either give him the ball or have him run the second unit against the opposing second unit.

this is also PB's first playoff, and sometimes he can be just as inconsistent as lin, so dont overestimate the dude so much.

 

Westbrook was voted the the coaches to the allstar game Lin was not.

 

Didn't we have this argument multiple times for all the thunders game. In every game thread we hear that WB will destroy Lin, but every game was a surprise. So as much as WB is better than Lin, I think we're all setting up ourselves for another in your face match.

 

I really hope so too. I really hope he and Westbrook become good friends soon. After a couple of shoves and thrown punches of course.

 

An offensive team predicated on high scoring to win trying a late season switch to defense will result in a sweep. The rockets needs to stick with what got them in the playoffs.
