Last game against the Lakers on Wednesday will be for the 7th seed

Nice idea, but did you even SEE the GSW/Lakers game?

That's NOT a typo... if you think we're going to get anything even close to a fair shake AT Staples Center on a nationally televised game with a play off spot for the Lakers on the line I want some what you're smoking...

 

We will probably lose on Wednesday, not only because Lakers will play with heart and determination especially on their home court, but the NBA would want lakers in the playoffs and Houston vs OKC for the Harden drama. It's a perfect setup for them

 

Ha! I'm still pissed though. Tonight's loss was painful.

 

I dont even care about who we lose to in the first round. The idea of the lakers ever missing the playoffs was a joke from the start no matter how bad it looked for them.

 

best that could happen is, we get Joey crawford, he hates the Rockets, but he also hates the Lakers

With Kobe, i agree. But without him and Dwight taking most of the free throws? Then i like our chances. With or without the help of the referees.

If we can't beat a Kobe-less Lakers then we deserve to be in the 8th seed. It's all part of the rebuilding phase. It sucks to lose but lets not lose focus on the bigger picture. Think long term.

If Warrior lose their final game and we beat LA, we move up to 6th seed but nobody think Warriors is going to lose at Portland but hey...you never know...on the road is not easy. Just ask the Rockets who got whooped by the Suns lol.

 

we are going to be seeing vintage dwight attacking the rim and getting legit FTs. Not passive aggressive dwight playing out and letting Kobe do his things to show how ****ty Kobe can be sometimes.

That is what scares me.

 

Difference is Portland is on tank more while suns got our number...

 

A win in LA against a Kobe-less Lakers will do that.

 

If it's a close game, they won't even be able to go to Dwight in crunch time because of his poor ft %. It's HUGE not having a Kobe Bryant in these type of games.

They better find a way to stop Harden, Lin, Parsons, and close out on Delfino or it could be really ugly for them to be honest.

 

The best part of this game is that Jazz fans MUST root for us...mwahahahahaha!

The Kobeless Lakers still have a frontline of Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard.

The Kobeless Lakers will have all the motivation to win this game.

The Kobeless Lakers will have the referees on their side.

Meanwhile the Rockets

Will be playing on the road

Will be playing with an injured Harden

Will be struggling to defend Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard.

Will only be getting a day of rest after just playing a b2b.

I think the actual referee assignments aren't posted publicly until the morning of the game day.

but don't worry, even if it's not joey this guy will make sure the correct winner is decided for basketball reasons.

 

We're playing the Thunder in the first round, folks. No way in hell we beat the Lakers on Wednesday. Keep in mind that even if the Jazz fall to the Grizzlies earlier that night(their game is the first part of an ESPN double-header, so it'll be in the books before we even tip off), L.A. still has incentive to go out there and win since they undoubtedly would rather play San Antonio in Round 1 than OKC.

This final week is gonna haunt this team. We blew the Memphis game at home(I really wish they hadn't sat Parsons that night), barely eeked out that Suns win, and then lost in Phoenix to a team that had little to play for and had dropped 7 in a row in their own building.

And to make matters worse, you know David Stern wants it all this way. Lakers vs. Spurs is a long-running rivalry, Harden taking on his old team is ratings gold, and the Warriors and Nuggets running and gunning is a good matchup. Unless the Rockets come out and immediately take a 15-point lead in the first half, they ain't winning that last game.
