Thanks to Mchale and coaching staff, Lowry and Dragic were overachieving while they were in Houston. Truth! *runs away*
Lin knows how to use his weapons. He made good use of Tyson Chandler and Novak. Chandler is offensively challenged but double his scoring when lin is on the court. Novak made career highs in points and attempts with Lin. His play making is seriously underrated. Took out the clippers without harden and parsons with an offensively challenged Omer and a couple of bench players. Houston needs to give the man some credit.
I wonder when Lowry is going to start being a cancer in Toronto. With the Gay trade, Lowry's season average is now down to 11.9 points / 6.2 assists per game.

Not saying I agree with whatever his point he's trying to make, but I think he means as a starter in his playoff teams.
The tendency of people to try and over simplify things to justify positions is concerning. Dwight Howard might not make the playoffs this year. Doesn't mean he is worse than Kendrick Perkins.
Yea but was he the starting PG. I think that is what the guy mean Playoffs as the starting PG Lin - Yes Lowry - No Dragic - No
By that logic Lin > Irving Mario Chalmers&Derek Fisher = NBA Champ Mario Chalmers> CP3 Derek Fisher > CP3
None of that is true. Chandler scored only slightly above average with Lin in the lineup, and 3 of Novak's career 20 point game, including his career high 25, came without Lin. As for Chandler being offensively challenged, he's led the league in true shooting percentage multiple times. He gets all his shots at the rim, and he's above average finishing. Sure he can't shoot, but he doesn't hurt your offense, he helps it.
I think what you are looking for is this: Chandler and Lin on/off stats per 100 possessions, 2011-12 Novak and Lin on/off stats per 100 possessions, 2011-12 Based on these stats, playing with Lin, Chandler got more field goal attempts (9.9 with Lin, 8.1 without Lin) and shot them at a slightly higher percentage (69.1% with Lin, 67.3% without Lin). Novak shot better (52.2 FG% and 50.7% 3P%) when playing with Lin versus when he wasn't (46.1 FG% and 45.9 3P%), and also scored more points (25.1 with Lin, 22.7 without Lin). More importantly, look at the +/- stats for both players. Playing with Lin, Chandler averaged a +/- of 6.5 per 100 possessions (meaning that per 100 possessions, the Knicks were expected to outscore their opponents by 6.5 points), whereas without Lin, it was only 1.5. In Novak's case, his +/- with Lin was a whopping 23.1 per 100 possessions, and that dropped down all the way to 3.4 without Lin.
It's hard to say who's better and who's not. There are many things to consider as a player. Dragic and Lowry are better jump shooters. However Lin's more explosive to the rim. Having watched all 3 played, Lin has much better court vision. Even though their assist/game are very similar, offense flows better with Lin. NBA needs to start keep track of hocky assist. IMO hocky pass is the best way to confuse defense. Lin is the worst ball handler of the 3. So there is good and bad for each PG. But I'm glad we got Lin. He elevated the whole team like no others.
huh, if I'm understanding how to work this website correctly, both Harden and Parsons also show improvement with Lin, though Lin's numbers dip when they're both playing.
