As we are securing the 7th in the West and have a chance grabbing the 6th. We are likely to face either Spurs or Nuggests. Spurs have been doing poorly since Parker was injured for a while. Nuggests just lost Gallinari. Which team do you think we match well and have a good chance to upsetting?
I think we've had to answer this in at least 5 other threads. But I'm gunning for OKC. We'll sweep them kids.
Denver. I think we can get them to get into a shootout with us. And when it gets to being a shoot out, we have the better 3 point bombers, so the series will be completely up in the air.
Nuggets even before gall went out. Last poll was horribly answered. People forget how good Spurs are every damn year regardless of age or injuries. Manu will come back.
Why is this even a question? Nuggets and it isn't close. Pop will gameplan the f out of the Rockets, and they are loaded with experience. Nuggets >>>>>>>>>>>>> Spurs >> Thunder for who I'd prefer the Rockets face.
Nuggets by a mile. Spurs still have superstars in Duncan and Ginobili, they're older but are still balling, Duncan especially. Not to mention Popovich is one of the best coaches in the NBA. Denver has good players but no true superstars, that is an advantage for the Rockets. The only x-factor would be having to play at altitude in Denver.
Rockets have some kind of advantage over all of the top West teams, so I don't really care who it is. But we will have the best chance against the Clips & OKC, both mentally fragile teams, with mentally fragile coaches.
Aging? Outside of Ginobili, who on that team is really all that old and on the decline (Duncan is having a resurgent year)?
If we beat the Nuggets tomorrow, we have an excellent chance of beating the Warriors for the 6th spot. I would say 90% chance based on both schedules. Of course, i would rather the Rockets play the Nuggets than Spurs. Spurs are fundamentally sound and doesn't give up easily. Nuggets can fold...just because they're hot doesn't mean they're going to continue to be hot. What goes up must come down...it's the law of physics.
Losing manu doesn't hurt them THAT bad...he was playing like garbage. That being said why on eart is this even a question. Even before the injuries it would obviously Denver, and now it isn't even close.
Idk about Nuggets Faried alone could cause some major problems. If we lose to the Nuggets tomorrow no way do you wanna face a team that beat you 4-0
Spurs with no Ginobili and a gimpy Tony Parker who has a leg injury that Popovich is concerned about. Yes I think I take the Spurs over the Nuggets any day of the week. Don't forget the home court advantage Denver possesses.
dont really care. feels good facing a team in the playoffs for the first time this decade. going to be fun.
