It's just a red-herring. Columnists in Houston are softees.

Smith and Lin play well together. unfortunately, the coach rotation made it impossible:(

There isn't anything to debate unless people expect Lin to play like jrue holiday,Deron Williams, or cp3. He's averaging 13 and 6, playing solid d, nearly 2 steals a game. He has a small role ( compared to those pgs putting up all star numbers ) in the offense and is really not allowed to play the position as he is best suited to. TOs shouldn't be a factor. And expecting consistent scoring from a player playing a role he isn't suited for is dumb at this point. He has to rely more on the 3, of course its inconsistent. Hell, harden is a relatively good shooter from 3, if he had to rely on it as much he wouldn't be nearly as good either ( 3-10) tonight.

Because he's the "superstar" and "leader" of this team who claps for the ball angrily when he wants it, passes it to teammates with 1 sec on the shot clock, and angrily leaves without giving interviews when he sees fit.

Yeah definite bright spot there! He and Robinson could make a nice pair.

of course it'd be worth it, but since when did the Rockets have a 90% win percentage?

Or Delfino. Why he gets so much leeway to mess up and still stay on the court to the detriment of the Rockets is beyond me.

This year is a confirmation last year was no fluke. Last year, without a leash, Lin was doing all those things you mentioned. All of sudden, he's a god damn "tree" and have to "learn to grow" his game slowly? Just terrible logic. Nothing against what you said or you. But this whole TO logic is a josh.

Perhaps I would rather have seen Houston play no D but score 120 points to Pacers 110 or something.

That driver is a skilled mechanic, at best. Would love to have him stay on as a mechanic next season..

But if Morey is to live up to his stature as best GM, that premiere driver is coming next season for sure:cool::)

Thus, people really need use some actual ****ing logic when comparing these kind of things ( especially between starters/bench players ).

tell that to the Lakers. The Knicks are on their way to another first round exit. It's about stars who play within a team concept.

    Every single loss man.

Every single loss it's like LOH vs LOF.

Then the Lin Fans just start throwing **** at Harden.

We lost this game in the front court...but all anyone wants to talk about is the backcourt.

Thanks to the posters who made some valid posts...Torocan...Carl...the usual...

Now McHale as a big-man coach would be possibly better suited for his skill set. Unfortunately Morey seems very stubborn on this issue which is ironic because his job is to put together the best pieces for the Rockets to win a championship.

I blame it on all the sorcery going on around here lately. These witches and wizards need to be banned for all their evil black magic.

well i was asking if he did anything special vs. the starting lineup, in particular when Hibbert was in the game? I don't remember being impressed (but it could easily be selective memory).

I think the main issue is that if you have Smith-Robinson vs Hansbrough/Hibbert, you are suspect on defense vs. the Pacers' hottest player in that game and you aren't doing anything to draw Hibbert outside on the other end, so I can see why McHale didn't want to stick with it too much.

If you are facing Mahinmi/Pendergraph (or Mahinmi/Hansbrough for that matter), Smith/Robinson makes much more sense. They are simply better than Mahinmi and Pendergraph and they don't have to worry about defense much because Mahinmi is going to shoot stupid 20 footers. So they can beast.
