No one is blaming anyone other than McFail...he is a joke coach, he's a good man, and was a great player, but he is a **** coach...

Lin's got shortest leash among the starters. You can't argue with that.

What I don't understand that McFail continue to sit Lin until very end of the 4th Qtr despite he was having a much better 3rd Qtr, while Beverley was doing absolutely nothing.

How can he draw fouls going to the rim ... When Harden isn't even getting fouls. IMO, the refs took away Houston's most potent weapon by denying so many FT's on drive attempts. Pacers get a tap on the arm or hand ... and get FT's at will.

I believe McHale falls under the "everyone else" since he is not Lin.

He's not confident enough to keep shooting himself out of a slump (a la Delfino or Harden). Once he starts missing he starts deferring and stops attacking. That's why he gets taken out. Because he lets emotions dictate his game. Blame Mchale for some if you want, but most of that is because of his own mental weakness. Why don't you just allow him to be young and fickle- as he is, instead of always trying to shovel the blame down everyone else's throats.

Nah, OP is a 2009er so by LOH-logic he is unbiased and isn't a LOF.

Could be a Yao - Lin convert!

Lin avgs 32 mpg pretty consistent minutes. Some nights he looks turrible and Bev looks better that's all there is too it.

Tonight lin is inconsistent because PAcers is beasting in the paint staring the game, some one has to take the blame, and we know who is macfail favorite scapegoat:grin:

You can say that, but all McHale needed to do was to keep Lin in the game, call a time out and tell him to shoot the ball after a PnR, tell him to drive, tell him to be aggressive. Don't pull him out if he makes a mistake or miss a shot.

The problem is, if you are doing that, people will think it's Lin's team instead of Harden's team.

Either he is a LOF who predicted the future in 2009 that Lin will be a Houston Rocket in 2012 or he is voicing a legitimate point.

A redundant point doesn't rule out the legitimacy of the point. I agree with him. Linsanity wouldn't have happened last year with Mchale as coach. Too sort of a leash.

Lin is shooting 44% for the season, looks like he is in a season-long slump and Harden is shooting 44% for the season, it looks like Lin's shooting pct, so shocking. Look out, there is another Harden shot.

Hard to get your confidence back when you sit out 17 mins straight in the first half and 12 straight mins in the second half.

    Just saying.

He's inconsistent because he doesn't get the playtime to play towards his mean.

If he starts badly, he is taken out, with no chance to get a better feel for the game and do better.
If he starts great, he just gets his regular minutes and later on regresses to his mean.

Combine both situations and you get bad games + average games and that ends up making Lin look worse than what he's capable of.

The benching also messes up his +/-. If the team gets a negative differential, Lin will most likely be taken out and only return to the game when the team catches up. But once the differential becomes negative again while he's out there, he's benched again. This superficially gives him a huge minus in pt differential while on the floor. You bet this has an effect on his psyche and confidence.

Well you know that Lowry and Dragic couldn't get away faster enough from McHale.
