theres nothing wrong with the championship logo andf trying to recreate it. should have never strayed from it to begin with.. as time goes on logos should upgrade with technology.. our very own astros did a great job of revamping a dated logo.. i would love to see our championship logo brought back to life. with the championship font as well..
Could you somehow include a rocket as part of the red trim? Not a detailed rocket, but a silhouette or something like that, as if it's going around the logo.
Agreed, but you're going to need to update the font, and with your concept, we will just be the red and yellow Pistons. A word mark in the middle of a basketball. I just don't feel the huge amount of desert gold works for todays logos with red. Now, if we changed to a more actual gold and red, then yes, i think it would work. Even a brighter yellow might work like the Lakers.
I doubt it. As long as Toyota is around, we will always look similar to their logo. Hopefully i'm wrong. Les Alexander seems to have terrible taste anyway, so if we did change, i wouldn't be that excited.

I think I'm the only one who likes the current 'R'. Maybe it's due for a slight touch-up, but the real issue are the generic, clunky uniforms were sport and the BLEHHHH home court that we have. Let's throw some color in there!
Honestly, Rebranding this offseason and having Harden, Smith, Parsons and Howard roll out in these on opening day gives me goosebumps just too think about. The current uniforms have too many bad memories
