He is being misused. He is a post scorer, not a 3 point scorer. He would blossom in a different system IMO.
The way they get to the rim are different. Lin depends on his speed and a one handed layup, and Harden depends on a slower euro step, and then his both of his arms. These two styles benefit each player in their own ways, and won't change anytime soon. It's easier for the refs to call fouls for Harden style because it's in slower motion and both arms are usually caught in the fouls. Lin actually got alot of foul calls last year. The refs just need to start recognizing that he gets fouled alot, even though it's not as obvious.

you can not ask your PF to shoot 3's That is simply crazy and stupid Orlando magic once is a 3's shooting team, but they are not going any where through stupid all 3's falling down game
Yeah but maybe he is standing there himself ? I feel my heart shrink every time he puts up a stinker because the dude looks really embarrassed and frustrated when it happens. I think he feels the pressure of not making the playoffs and is taking it too personally there.
They had a good game, but it's the regular season, and it was one game with no adjustments over and over again. Memphis' team makeup is built more for the slowdown post season than Houston's team makeup is at this point. The major difference is defense.
Lin is the best when he got infinite screening, he can either drive in or pass to the big man for easy basket. Harden is the best when he isos. In current rocket system, you just compare Harden iso vs. Lin iso, then Harden is definitely better.
they are scary right now. but the one place where they can be exploited is their transition D. halfcourt offense against the grizz is like trying to ram your head through a brick wall.
Mavs won a championship with their PF shooting threes. If the PF has shown he can hit threes in practice, then there's no problem with them shooting threes in the game.
I kind of just count the entire backcourt's assists rather than just Lin's. mostly because I know that Lin tries to get the bigs going a lot and sometimes that doesn't work so well.
Definitely agree on the time. But I also don't think McHale gets enough credit for the adjustments he made. Situating Lin on the left wing more so that he can drive to his right hand. Really emphasizing pushing the pace to take advantage of our back courts strong transition play & youth. This is just off the top of my head. But placing him on the left wing a lot more was a big one. Not being to overly critical when he had poor games. Lin also getting healthy was a big one.
That's what they said about Lin, and now he's become reliable from three. Trust in dmo's determination to improve.
It will be interesting to see if Houston can really impose there fast pace offense on Memphis in the post season. Also we tend to be really turnover prone & turning the ball over against Memphis is like leaving your wallet on the subway. Might as well just go home & sit this one out. I am definitely very nervous for our young team against them.
