Aside from PER, I don't think their stats are that different and the fact is because Lowry has played injured, his stats are skewed by him playing 6,000 less minutes then Lin. The fact is that this thread is a waste of time, all three are good players and because of circumstances are where they are. Comparing Lin to Lowry like Lowry would be better for this team is speculation and fruitless, Lin is here and the best PG we have on the roster unless Beverly or Brooks prove otherwise.
5 of his 12 pts came from 2 TOs from Harden, where Lin was camping at the corner. Harden basically passed the ball directly to Dragic and fouled him once for the and1.
In other words, very easy points, which I think would validate my argument that Lin had a better game than Dragic.
Hilarious. If members are going to continually crap on Lin whenever he has a bad game, this should be pointed out when Lowry/Dragic have a bad game. I didn't even realize Lowry played this bad. Thanks for sharing!
I really liked Lowry and was REAL disappointed he got traded but we did get HARDEN so how can anyone complain. Lowry is a gifted athlete but he it's bloody obvious his BBALL IQ isn't anywhere near Lin. Lowry just doesn't got that 'IT' factor. jmho.
It's been a while, but I recall you said they had similar games. I never was disagreeing Lin had a better game.
I might sound like a LOF but over the past 2-3 months Lin seems to have this fire that only superstars in this league have. I'm not saying he's the next Kobe, but the dude can play and can be a leader on any team. I went from being 'disappointed' to being 'impressive' by his play and the way he carries himself.
Lin's production at the start of the season was low since he didn't play for months, and was still recovering strength in his knee. Lots of people, including Rockets Fans and especially NY writers, were too quick to say he was washed up. Now, we're seeing more glimpses of his true potential, and Lin has about 2 or 3 years before he reaches it. When he's aggressive, he's a completely different player.

Lin is better than Lowry this season and will be better than Dragic next season. Fact is Lin would have at the very least 2 more assists each game once Asik learns how to catch and finish. I see Lin being a 17/8/3/2 player with good D.
As much as he sucked early in the season, he is already better than dragic, actually, even after average whole season out, his stats is still clearly better. He shoots better from 3, free throw line, and has better overall FTP He has more steals, rebounds and blocks as well.
I said Lin wasn't vastly superior that night, but was definitely more than just slightly better than Dragic. I think i was replying to someone who basically said Lin played only slightly better, it just happened that Dragic had worse teammates.
The gap is narrowing. Current PER: Lin 15.06, Lowry 18.52, and Dragic 17.04. <table border="0"> <tr><td colspan="6" align="center" >Point Guards' PER, Season 2012-13</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="#0069B9";font style="color:#ffffff;"><th>Player</th><th>Oct. 31</th> <th>Dec. 31</th> <th>Jan. 31</th> <th>March 1</th> <th>March 16</th> <th>March 20</th> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#ffffff"><td align="right">Kyle Lowry</td><td align="center">25.47</td> <td align="center">21.92</td> <td align="center">21.26</td> <td align="center">19.41</td> <td align="center">19.02</td> <td align="center">18.52</td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#eeeeee"><td align="right">Goran Dragic</td><td align="center">20.19</td> <td align="center">18.50</td> <td align="center">17.51</td> <td align="center">16.87</td> <td align="center">17.03</td> <td align="center">17.04</td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#ffffff"><td align="right">Jeremy Lin</td><td align="center">15.07</td> <td align="center">14.69</td> <td align="center">14.34</td> <td align="center">14.68</td> <td align="center">15.05</td> <td align="center">15.06</td> </tr><tr bgcolor="#0069B9";font style="color:#ffffff;"><td align="left">Gap</td><td align="center">10.40</td> <td align="center">7.23</td> <td align="center">6.92</td> <td align="center">4.73</td> <td align="center">3.97</td> <td align="center">3.46</td> </tr></table> Lowry has played badly recently, as the stats of the last 10 games indicate evidently: <table cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3" class="tablehead" bgcolor="#ffffff"><tr class="colhead"><th>PLAYER</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Games Played">GP</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Minutes Per Game">MPG</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Field Goal Percentage">FG%</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Rebounds Per Game">RPG</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Assists Per Game">APG</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Blocks Per Game">BLKPG</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Steals Per Game">STPG</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Personal Fouls Per Game">PFPG</th><th style="text-align:right !important;" title="Points Per Game">PPG</th><th>TEAM RECORD</th></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Lin</td><td style="text-align:right;">10</td><td style="text-align:right;">30.3</td><td style="text-align:right;">.472</td><td style="text-align:right;">1.9</td><td style="text-align:right;">5.6</td><td style="text-align:right;">0.1</td><td style="text-align:right;">1.5</td><td style="text-align:right;">1.7</td><td style="text-align:right;">14.3</td><td align="center">5-5</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Dragic</td><td style="text-align:right;">10</td><td style="text-align:right;">32.4</td><td style="text-align:right;">.444</td><td style="text-align:right;">3.3</td><td style="text-align:right;">8.2</td><td style="text-align:right;">0.3</td><td style="text-align:right;">2.1</td><td style="text-align:right;">2.5</td><td style="text-align:right;">13.9</td><td align="center">4-6</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>Lowry</td><td style="text-align:right;">10</td><td style="text-align:right;">29.9</td><td style="text-align:right;">.359</td><td style="text-align:right;">6.0</td><td style="text-align:right;">5.6</td><td style="text-align:right;">0.6</td><td style="text-align:right;">1.8</td><td style="text-align:right;">4.1</td><td style="text-align:right;">8.4</td><td align="center">3-7</td></tr></table>
Not sure why people want Lowry anyway. He is injury prone. Has only played one full season. As for Dragic I would like to see how well he does on a playoff team not on a lottery team where he can pad his stats and dominate the ball. What numbers would he put playing off the ball with Harden? He is arguably even worse at shooting than Lin.
Watching the last few games against the Suns pretty much showed me what I already suspected. They are similar types of players but Lins vision trumps Dragic's and that says all I need to know as I love pg's with great vision. Similar skill level with Dragic better in some areas Lin better in others, but personally speaking I think Lin has the edge on Dragic and I believe and hope that the distance between them will grow much bigger in the next 3 years when we win our first championship with Harden, Lin, Parsons, and Asik. I'd be heartbroken to see any of them go.
