    Follow NBA much?

    Robert Horry
    Michael Cooper
    Derek Fisher
    Bruce Bowen
    Dennis Johnson
    AC Green
    Danny Ainge
    Dennis Rodman

Just some of the names from what I have seen since late 80s. I am sure there were some others before then.

PS. I am looking at the names on my list and there are some scumbags on it.

Really happy for Shane...Miami not so much...but it goes to show you...Lebron may have had the winning basket, but it was Shane Battier that won them the game...what a smart player...Congrats Shane...

I'd say Shane Battier WAS NOT the one who led both teams in their winning streaks.

He was just an important piece/the wily glue guy for them, but nah, not the one who led the Heat and Rockets.

He gave props to the Houston streak on NBAtv. "Houston streak was special b/c it came out of left field. No one could explain it. I've never been on another team that played as hard as that one"

Derek Fisher does not belong on that list. Dude is overrated trash. The w**** of the nba who jumps from team to team ring chasing and has never been more than a below average-average role player. Hitting a few clutch shots does not mean much when his god awful play was what caused the Lakers to need to hit those shots in the first place.

Wow, couldn't believe it. Shane with the game winning block, for sure. Then the game was over anyway, in all probability, but smart move at the end, too, to ice it.

Now that they surpassed our streak, I don't care if they keep it going. I no longer hate the Heat, I don't like them and think Lebron, while the greatest player currently in uniform, is still a narcissist, but I don't HATE them anymore. So now I am just rooting for Battier to continue the streak, btw how fitting that Battier would essentially have the game winning block (which should have been Heat's ball)? I loved/hated it. Congratulations Shane, you are and will always be the most respectable basketball player next to Yao Ming in my eyes. Professional, intelligent, and kind, something most professional ath-a-letes lack these days.

I really enjoy watching the Miami team. Those guys have great talent and great chemistry. They know how to play and are extremely likable. It is fun to root for them every game knowing that they will give a quality effort on both ends of the floor. They do not have clueless rookies who talk big, "stars" who give little effort on D and stupid losses to bad teams. I am so glad that ESPN and TNT show so many of their games so I can cheer for classy players Shane, Lebron, Ray, Wade and Bosh.

In modern time, in my opinion.

Robert (Big Shot Rob) Horry, who won seven championships on three different teams. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest clutch performers in the history of the NBA.

Crediting Shane Battier for the streak is about like pointing out that the streak started right after they signed Birdman.

Both did their parts but little heavy lifting was involved.

you're out of your mind if you think shane isn't the main contributor to the heat's winning streak!

I find that it is fun to root against them every game knowing that they will whine and moan for every call/non-call,

flop like a Euro soccer pro,

give every ref the "do you know who I am" stare a half dozen times a game, and in general intimidate officials into giving them the star treatment that the league office recommends.
