too many people over obsessed with the streak. It was one of the most fun seasons but lets not kid ourselves.
Heat 22 game winning streak Could come on march 17. Same date we got our 22nd. That's crazy. Hope they fall short
Nope, we got our 22nd winning streak on the March 16, 2008 Sorry I remember clearly since it was my 15th birthday
they play Boston for their 23rd game. We played Boston for our 23rd game. And well.. you know what happened with that game..
ye, nice try. I, on the other hand, have fonder memories when our team try their best and to be their best. The players, like Scola, Landry, Deke, Battier, Yao, even Artest give me more memories than those couples of extra playoff game you just mentioned. And that streak was a reward for their collective hard work, a badge of honor that I would like to put as high as possible in the book of history. How could you say not care?
Shane Battier becomes the first player to go on two seperate 20 game win streaks in the NBA* *first person after BAA turned into the NBA
records are made to be broken. consider ourselves lucky that we get to watch it be broken by a team, led by a man whom will probably go down as the GOAT player. have you not been watching? it's amazing.
It's weird how coincidental this all is. The Celtics may get to end a 22 game win streak shortly after St. Patrick's Day exactly 5 years later.
I honestly believe they may beat 36 wins. They only have 1 game I'm on the edge about with the spurs and 2 teams that I could see upsetting them with the bulls and knick (if Melo is back)
Battier was part of both 20+ win streaks. Maybe its not a coincidence? http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=400278695 [rquoter] The Miami Heat had just watched the Super Bowl when Shane Battier delivered a speech that left quite the impression. Whatever he said that night in Toronto, the Heat sure took off from there. They haven't come down yet. LeBron James and Chris Bosh each scored 28 points, and the Heat made it 21 straight wins, beating the Milwaukee Bucks 107-94 on Friday night. Only three other teams have won 20 in a row in one season, and the Heat now trail just the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers (33) and the 2007-08 Houston Rockets (22) after moving ahead of the 1970-71 Bucks. The Heat haven't lost since they fell at Indiana on Feb. 1, and they return Sunday to the place where this streak started two days later, back when they were a mediocre road team barely on top of the Eastern Conference standings. "I think the biggest thing for our team was watching the Super Bowl and getting away from basketball in a sense and just enjoying each other," Dwyane Wade said. "We got the famous speech from Shane Battier and we've been rolling ever since." What did Battier say? "You had to be there," Bosh said. "It was after watching the Super Bowl. It was a good game; we had a great time. I guess the main focus was that you're going to miss me when I'm gone." Bosh laughed. "It was not so much about him," he continued. "He tied in everything. He tied in life to the Super Bowl. It was just everything. It was a good time." [/rquoter] Intangibles.
Wade looks healthy. He had a few jams in last nights game that looked like the Wade of 5 years ago. And LeBron is just on another planet right now.
